What technology could you not live without?
 

We're all sat at a computer and no doubt many of us have mobile phones, dishwashers, colour TVs, radio alarm clocks, etc. But what is the one simple invention that you could not live without?

For me, it's my prescription sunglasses. It's the only time of the year when I wear glasses properly which means that I can see clearly. I'm too vain to wear my real glasses all the time and too squeamish to wear contact lenses. I love my prescription sunglasses.

I know it's boring but with the new footy season due to start shortly my sky box is something I could not do without, my wife agrees with the hair straightening irons Tinkerbelle.

Wireless Internet? PDA, Laptop, Sky, Cars(full of technology now), Mobile,

I guess I'ma bit of a gadget freak, Still, someone has to play with all this stuff

hmmm i cud live without tv, net, sky, pc, mp3 players... there's not much i do need need

For me it is my glasses, my laptop and my radio. They are really essential, the rest I can do without.

You can take anything but not my computer and internet. Although I have recently done a 4 day stint without, it isn't something I'm very happy about, even on a beach or in a field! :) Actually I could cope without but I would need a lot of money to keep me in the pub all day every day.

My inhaler for my asthma. Quite literally, there have been times when I would NOT have lived without it.

Easy....computer and internet......essential to keep in touch with family in Oz......can send pics and gossip.......Oh and fuel my addiction to Accyweb.

My contact lenses;without which I am blind as the proverbial bat.Also my mobile phone has become pretty indispensible over the last 14 days!;)

i have been reading these and it seems you have missed the ultimate technology which a rarity of people dont have

I have to agree with Staggers - my wife, as she does the shopping, washing, ironing, cooking and keeps me warm at night!

We had French students staying with us for the past two weeks, so I have been out a lot more than usual.

Evenings that I normally spent staying in were instead spent on the tennis court or in a field playing football.

I tell you, I felt the effects of the first tennis session, but after the pain had subsided I went out and played again, and was absolutely fine afterward. When I mention pain I meant the muscular pain instead of the sunburn!

Next time I'll put some cream on (or that spray is good - Ambre Solaire do a spray which is a lot easier and better to put on than cream)!

And I've been quite busy during the days as well!

So the somewhere sunny has been here in Tunbridge Wells - no rain for 2 weeks!

That's done it - I think we're due rain at the weekend :rolleyes:

After having a gadget free week I can honestly say that I can live without TV, radio, internet, hairdryer, washing machine, tumble dryer and toilets that let you put your loo roll down them. I did use my mobile phone and my hair straighteners whilst away, so I will have to claim those as my indispensible items.:)

I could live without my alarm clock, I hate the thing.
I could not live without my washer and dryer......................... Having clothes all over the house in winter drying on the radiators would drive me mad.
And hand washing everything NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! so I think these have to be the things I can't live without.
