Britain, according to an article in yesterdays Independent, is under threat not just of random terrorist attacks but stands in danger of having to face Insurgency. Apparently the security services are warning that up to 10,000 people in this country may have been through terrorist training camps and are capable of handling automatic weapons and high explosives.

A German newspaper columnist criticised Europe as Cowards for its policy of appeasement of terrorists. Likening the current policies to that of Neville Chamberlain and his "Peace in our time" speech before the outbreak of World War Two. And we all know what that led to.
He claims that the European powers should have gone in and kicked Hitler out at the first sign of trouble but that we were too frightened to do that and preferred to wait for the Americans to come and do it for us.

56 people are dead, London is bristling with 6000 extra police officers who havent had a day off since July 7th and the whole performance is costing MILLIONS. (Actually if you take lost earnings into account the figure is estimated to be £2.5 Billion and rising)

And the best that HAZEL BLEARS, the minister responsible, can come up with is contained in this report in this mornings Times.

Absolutely stupid, and a waste of time and money.

When we should be uniting against terrorism, by all people being proud to be British that live here, this is just devisive.

I wonder how much this silly plan cost to execute?

One supposes that if Ms Blears were to take in a stray dog which then savaged one of her children she would not have it put down but would spend thousands on canine psychologists in an attempt to persuade the animal to integrate more closely with the family and refer to it subsequently as the Hamster.

I couldn't help myself....... I laughed out loud when I read that article. It beggars belief, will cost a fortune and nobody wants it. Pretty much the sort of scheme that is the hallmark of this government.

Lets see now we've got Pakistani British, Indian British, Bangladeshi British, Chinese British,
West Indian British multiple African British English Irish Scottish and Welsh British. All different but all British which makes us as Heinz 57 British. Don't know if it makes sense but thats how it looks to me. Besides creed and colour should matter nor should religious preferance be it north south east west left right up or down cause being British is a cocoon to all. Unfortunatelly we have bad "apples" same as everywere else its how we "progress" these people that will determin our birthright of Britishness. Oh sod it I am of the tangent again, buzzards. We all need to learn about others to progress forward.

The Death Penalty for Treason was quietly dropped from the Statute Book in 1998. Instead it will now earn the treasonous a term of imprisonment of anything from five years to life.

With the minimum sentence and good behaviour the canny traitor could be out again within eighteen months!

Carved in stone above the entrance to the Central Criminal Court - The Old Bailey - is the legend "Punish The Wrongdoer And Protect The Children Of The Poor". It is perhaps an injunction that some of our legislators would do well to ponder.
