Re: GCSE Results Day

:engsmil: Good luck for Thurs Smiffy :) and to all you others who are waiting for results. If I can give any advice about this is ... it's important but not the be all and end all. Exams can be re-sat or maybe its a case of looking at studying something else instead. But I bet you will all have tried the best you can and probably when the results do come out find you've actually done better than you thought!!! :)

Re: GCSE Results Day

Yeah...well done Smiffy. Splendid Results!

However, a word of caution. I read that the local constabulary will be keeping it's beady eye out for all those teenagers who may try to celebrate their results with a session or two of binge drinking. Those apprehended under the influence of the demon fluid, alcohol, may well be subject to an on-the-spot fine of eighty quid. Not a trivial sum, by any means.

So whatever you do, do not be tempted by such indulgences; leave that to us. Come saturday night, we'll all get pi*sed for you.:)

I told them to come to the meet, I m sure we will buy them a celebratory glass of pop and maybe a bag of crisps.

Fearon can't come, but Baldy and Smiffy you should try and make it after the Exeter game, a double celebration when we whip their asses.:)

Well done to all of you who have got good results........and if there is anyone out there who has done less well.......be consoled with the thought that exam results are not the be all and end all to life........there are lots of folk who didn't get exams but who have subsequently done well since.

k so they arn't that bad, the better jobs tend to be what idiots go for, example, a guy goes to college, learns programming, get's a really good job called "sitting on your arse all day writeing mindless crap into a comp" it's good pay but the people at decent jobs are ****, you still don't get it?

It's the people in a job that makes it good, not the job itself all you people care about is money.

No matter what people say, I am pleased that there are still young people out there that can get such good grades.
People who are jealous can come on here and try to justify themselves all they want.............but congratulations to the people that did well in there exams, you obviously worked hard for it, you deserve it.

Maybe if you had studied like the people we are talking about on here, you might have learned about spelling and grammer. p.s. text talk is not allowed on this forum.

True up to a point, you can wing it in some careers, but why limit yourself?

I'm afraid that if you wanted to be a doctor, you will still need examinations, starting with G.C.S.E.'s, thankfully.

Re: GCSE Results Day

here here

i'm at college now and have just bolesed up my AS exams so am going to retake them and study hard to get better results that mean something to me

having results of any kind should make your day even if you tryed your ut most best, but you wont get any where if you don't try i didn't do so well in my AS's i got E in biology and Chemistry (3 of a D in chemistry) a D in geog and general studies and a C in maths 4 off a B and 34 of an A. at first i was well disapointed with my self as i expected higher but then i realised that i didn't put my ut most best into revising and that's where i went wrong

So this time i'm knuckling down to work and getting the results i want and no i can get and no that nearly every one will back me up and say that schooling is the best time of your life so why waste the time and end up in a deadend job (no offence) but make the most of life you don't need to be the brightest of people all you need to have is confidence in your self to word hard and get the results you want and the confidence to ask if you don't understand anything

finally i'm just goping to say a well done to all how have taken there exams and passed or not the poingt is you stayed on and completed your course just be brave and take the next step, whether it be to college, or University or an apretiship scheme. but please take the oppertunities given to you or you could regret it for the rest of your lives.
