The Child Was 10 -----
The adult was 23---------
The child was 10!!!!!!!!!!!! For 4 months at every opportunity, the adult climbed into the 10 year olds bed and sexually molested the minor. Finally caught, the adult was given-------a three year rehabilitation order and placed on the sex offenders list for just 5 years! The BOY is terrified that SHE will come back, yes, SHE! His parents want to know why she was not imprisoned "If she was a man, it would have been totally different!" Should there be a difference between a male and female paedophile? Should they be treated differently? Does a lad of 10 have to take it "like a man" but girls of the same age suffer more? |
Re: The Child Was 10 -----
So glad you brought this subject up. 4 month ago my children were playing with some friends on the next back alley from our house. They came home and scared to death and told me that they had been locking a rabbit cage door in their friends garden when, THIS POLICE LADY came up to them and shouted at them for messing with the cage. This didn't bother me as kids should not be messing in other peoples gardens. What did bother me was the kids went on to tel me that, she made them all stand in a line and took a picture of them with her camera phone. After asking the kids what this lady looked like, i was under the impression that this was no police lady, but may have been a SPECIAL WARDEN.
Anyway I was still annoyed that anyone would be taking pictures of my children, and decided to ring the police station. My hubby got straight on the phone to the police and after talking to a officer about it and not getting anywhere, the police officer put my hubby through to the HEAD MAN!!!!!!!!! wfhaaaaaaaaa.............. After telling the officer what had happened and making him aware that we were quite frightened and so was the children, he said he would ring the WARDENS and ask if they were aware of this, and if it could have been one them. he rang us back half an hour later and said he had spoken to the warden team and that it wasn't any of them. when my husband asked what was going to be done about someone taking pictures of children, the Officer said " we are not going to go any further with this enquiry, as it was a woman that had taken the pictures. If it was a man then they would have taken it further". My husband asked the officer " do you think only males are capable of sexually assaulting children"?? The officer then went on with his smart attitude " In all my working life in the police force which is 20 years, I have never dealt with a case of a woman abusing a child sexually". My hubby then said " well I can see I'm not getting anywhere fast with the likes of you, I'm wasting my breath". 10 minutes later a officer called and asked if he could come to take a statement. When he arrived he took a statement from the children, then went to the house that the lady had come from. I t turned out that she worked in a shop and had a uniform on that looked similar to a police officers uniform. She had done this to try to scare the children, from going in the garden again. The officer could not apologise more for the way we had been dealt with. And so they should apologise. That was handled very badly, and deters people from reporting things. So yes I do believe that woman can do things like this, but maybe it is SNUBBED off by the police because "WOMAN ARE NOT CAPABLE OF THINGS LIKE THIS"!!!!!!!!!!!!! (as stated by the police themselves). |
Re: The Child Was 10 -----
I don't think anyone would differentiate .............. sex abuse is sex abuse, regardless of what gender perpetrate the crime, the only fact is that more men than women do abuse children and the day we know the answers why, is the day we can save many children growing up with the torment of their lost childhood at the hands of these depraved people!

Your right Busman, maybe I should have added no-one would differentiate on this forum It is also a fact in our judicial system that women are treat more leniently than men (and even more so when they have a pretty face) obviously the judge and jury were dillusional that a woman could commit such a crime (he must have been to blame). Luckily crimes against children were women are the perpetrators are far and few between ............ or just not reported to the police, thats the worrying thing :( |
Re: The Child Was 10 -----

Re: The Child Was 10 -----
Sadly the law and society does view the gender of the abuser differently.
For the crimes Myra Hindley committed, a man would have been released after serving approximatly ten years. I'm not saying she should have been released, just stating a fact that we as a society, find female abuse more abhorent than when it is committed by a male. Sadly this is more prevelant than first thought, there was a case in the paper today of a female teacher seducing a fourteen year old male pupil, and then terminating a pregnancy because she didn't know who the father was. All abuse of mimors is wrong, regardless of gender, and should receive equally severe punishment. |
Re: The Child Was 10 -----
I agree.......sexual abuse is abhorrent and the paedophiles, whatever their gender should be treated in the same way.
Maybe the judges see women as nurturers, but not all females have motherly instincts. I find this story truly disturbing. |
Re: The Child Was 10 -----
I agree with everyone, sexual abuse whether it be by a man or woman should carry the same penalty.
|
Re: The Child Was 10 -----
A truly horrific situation. Female abusers should get the same treatment as male abusers. In the case of sexual abuse neither male nor female abusers get adequate sentences in my view. Unfortunately this is not the first female abuser that I have come across. I have dealt with a few in the course of my work...:(

oh dont get me going....................biteing my tongue
|
Re: The Child Was 10 -----
i still dont understand is how someone can look at a child and get turned on!!! its just wierd!!! i struggle with my conscience if i find an 18 year old attractive, and im only 5 years older than them!! i think its the teen bit that puts me off...in my mind they are still kids!!
they should chop off whichever bit of these sickoes touches the child...that way they cant do it again!!! |
Re: The Child Was 10 -----
I think it is totally disgusting that anyone be it male or female should get such a short sentence. Lock em all up permanently to ensure they don't have the opportunity to become a repeat offender
|
Re: The Child Was 10 -----
Just makes me sick the sentences that these in-humans. We're just to soft in this country.
|
Re: The Child Was 10 -----
I also think that this crime should carry a greater sentance and an equal one for any gender, it makes me sick that this kind of thing happens.
|
Re: The Child Was 10 -----
like i say...whatever touches...cut it off!!! they wont do it again!!!

Re: The Child Was 10 -----
I am not a phycologist (can't even spell it) but do we have a perv in our midst? I have just been deducted karma for this thread  but what worries me far more is the message that comes with it calling me "sick"
Roy, I know in the past you have mentioned that you have had a laugh at many of the comments made whilst karma is being added or deducted and you are privy to who made them but I for one feel enough is enough. I feel it is totally insulting to be told I am sick by a faceless coward! If there is just one down-side to the accyweb it is this. |
Re: The Child Was 10 -----
Bus man if your sick we all are. As all those of us who have posted on this thread are of the same opinion

Busman, although Roy has said he enjoys the mischief karma can cause, abusive comments given that way can, and are dealt with. |
Re: The Child Was 10 -----
I agree with all the comments on this thread Busman I'll give you some karma back
