X Factor
Talking about x factor tonight at the meet and how some people obviously haven't got it. Well I've got in tonight and one of the hopefuls met last years winner and was completely starstruck, whys that, he's done ****** all since last year, why are people so easily impressed?

Re: X Factor
The programme is purely for entertainment.Anyone with the so called "X Factor" wouldn't need to go up in front of those pretentious idiots. The old fashioned way of going out and playing pubs n clubs, learning the trade and developing a fanbase is the way to go.I despise the programme.God an annoying ficticious frog can even get to number one these days, what is the world coming to??How gullable are the public?

Re: X Factor
:)I've got the X-factor, but you have to give 'em a chance.:(
Brill. Culture for the next millenium. |
Re: X Factor
Everyones got the X factor.Well at least at something.
|
Re: X Factor
It's finding out what you've got the x-factor for is the big challenge.
|
Re: X Factor
That's is what they all say.
NEXT.;) |
Re: X Factor
sometimes though pilky you have the most talented of people doing the rounds of the clubs etc... but never develop any further cos they are just not spotted by the right people. Anyway x-factor is just a laugh for us viewers, nothing more, nothing less

Re: X Factor
Yeah but all these ppl on these talent shows have no control over what they do.One minute they are in the limelight, the public gets force fed this cr@p until they feel they are past there sell by date.Where are Gareth GatesWill Young,Hearsay, that Michelle whatever her name is,Steve whatever his surname is.Ok.Girls Aloud still have hits but they are pretty awful and what is the name of the boyband from that same competition, erm i've forgotten.None of them are talented artists, they have been chosen as decent singers to sing someone elses songs to earn someone else alot of money.Puppets on a string.

Re: X Factor
I made no suggestion that the winners were the most talented or successful of people, just that the programme made fun viewing...ok that makes me a bit of a saddo, I can live with that.
Red is a saddo, red is a saddo, nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah, red is a saddo, red is a saddo..................:D |
Re: X Factor
awww, don't be so hard on yourself. At times it is good entertainment but it's all about making money at the end of the day.Can you imagine if an unknown Kurt Cobain or Chris Martin walked in front of them idiots?Well to be quite (James) blunt they wouldnt get a look in.
|
Re: X Factor
thats because the x factor doesn't look outside the "Norm" box but hey its still entertaining
|
Re: X Factor
Well it's just tv.God we'll have dead soap characters coming back in showers next or being shot near an eastend canal and turning up years later only to be buried in concrete.lol

Re: X Factor
I 100% agree

Re: X Factor
I love the X factor, it's great for a good laugh. The winners at the end of it in my opinion do not have much talent to go any further with a career in singing.

Re: X Factor
Never really watched it. Managed to see about 10 minutes of it round at Grego's last night before the meet up and it was pure drivel. Full of non-talented people who are way to ugly to be on TV. One of the hopefuls could have eaten an apple through a barbed wire fence she had such bucked teeth and don't get me started on the lass with the brillo pad hair. I don't really care what people look like if they have talent, but this lot sadly did not....:D

Re: X Factor
Joss Stone was discovered on a BBC kids talent show, and has gone on to have a pretty credible world wide career.
Will Young too, is still recording, and I like him so that's all that matters.:) |
Re: X Factor
I know that a lot of talent was discovered on programmes such as New Faces and Opportunity Knocks, but at least to get onto the show in the first place the contenders had to display some kind of talent. These auditions that they show for X Factor have all and sundry turning up talentless just because they want to be on the telly.
Of course being an avid people watcher it gives me something to bitch about....:D ;) |

The unknown I suppose. The little something some have, and that sadly most don't. |
Re: X Factor
I hadn't watched any of X factor until this series ......... it's just funny and not to be taken seriously ...... even the judges don't take it seriously and end up turning up hours late because they've been at an Elton John party til the small hours!
Simon Cowell is such an arrogant wan ....... man :D, sometimes I think I'm only watching it to see if someone pastes the living day lights out of him !! It will come one day!! Just for the record (scuse the pun) I think Steve Brookstein has a gorgeous voice and loved his cover of Against All Odds |
Re: X Factor
I think its ok for a laugh, this is the first time I've seen it as well, most of the people auditioning have no talent though, but I suppose thats what makes the programme watchable.
