Chatter's player sponsership.
 

I know this probably isn't the right forum, sorry.:(

Some of us are sponsering a player at Accrington Stanley. The cost is £120 for the season, at the end of which we'll be presented with the players shirt, which one of us will win by means of a draw. W e are looking for people to contribute £10 and you can also have a vote if you wish for which player we choose, which will be the one with the most votes.

The name we choose will be in the programme and on the offical website, and will somehow include mention Accy Web, that's why I hope the mods overlook me posting this in here as it will be a way of raising the profile of the site relatively cheaply.

Another reason I choose to post it here was that I know quite a few people who use the chatroom never go in the Stanley section of the site, yet still support the club.

There is a thread in the Stanley section but there hasn't been a massive reaction so far.:(

Tinkerbelle, John Timmins and myself are in so far.

Anybody else who would like to support our home town team, and in the process raise the profile of Accy Web please pm either me or John Timmins.

Sometimes these things have to be done to get the response needed. I am guilty as charged over the Stanley thread so I stand and await my wrist slapping and promise to visit the thread.:)

John Timmins and I had decided to do it anyway, this way we'll be able to have out of date cheese on our bread as well next month! Thank you.:)

I was thinkiing of calling us Accy Web Chatters, since most of us so far have been in there, unless you have any better suggestions:?

thats because they already did this once.... I think its great that your sorting another out and i am sure the club think its even greater :) WELL DONE.. seriously!! good man! :)

But dont try and make out the people in the accrington part arnt interested.. thats cheap :(

We did say that in the thread in the Stanley section mate, and we acknowledged it was your idea, this gives the people who missed it or don't go in that section, a chance to support our local team.

Harwood Red nabbed Jaggy, our sponsored player, after today's win this afternoon, and he thanked us, and agreed to draw one of the twelve names for his shirt towards the end of the season.:)

He actually said he'd be happy to do it whichever way we wanted.... yeah and it took me all my power to keep rindy off him :rolleyes:

He will also sign the shirt before presenting it to the winner personally :D
