My wifes grandama lived in Green Howarth. I'll ask her what she knows when I see her (Probably weekend)

When it was decommissioned, if that is the right word, it was bought by the guy who lives next door.
If it was ever converted into a house it would have the best views in Hyndburn. I'd put a balcony on the back, strong enough to hold a jacuzzi.:) |

I was up there last autumn. Sadly, it looks as though the facade is parting company with the rest of the building. But you're right about the view, it is probably one of the best in the borough.

Thanks, yes i was wondering who owned it, id love to buy it and do it up as a house, my family a few generations ago were Wesleyans and ownd Providance mIll and lived on Wesley St in church.

No one knows. It would be worth a fortune if it had planning permission to turn it into a house, sadly it's just getting more and more delapidated.

IIRC at was owned by a family called teh Horners? Their lad waited on tables at teh Brit for a while when I was assist manager there back in teh early 90s
