Stop it. It's bad for you!
Nanny knows best…
It is a sad, sad, reflection on our society that we have little better to concern ourselves with than pandering to the dictat of the Health Fascists. Here is a round-up of the health scares published in the media so far this year. And this is just for this year! These sanctimonious busy-body’s have been wagging their know-it-all fingers at us for decades. Am I the only one who is getting a bit fed up of listening to it all? Re: Stop it. It's bad for you!
Yes, but did you know that they've now deemed that coffee is good for you. After years of telling us that caffeine is bad it now transpires that it has more antioxidants than cranberries and is therefore good for your heart.
So I'm taking all of those things that you've listed with a pinch of salt (which is probably very bad for me) as next year someone will tell us that it's all good for us. |
Re: Stop it. It's bad for you!
Chocolate is supposed to be good for us now too. ;)
Do you remmeber when pregnant women used to be encouraged to eat liver because it was good for them? Then pregnant women were told to avoid liver at all costs because it was dangerous for them? |
Re: Stop it. It's bad for you!
It seems that living is bad for you - it might kill you!
Incidentally: Welcome back you two, I, for one, have missed you both! |
Re: Stop it. It's bad for you!
My neurologist has told me that smoking nicotine can help with Parkinson's, and at the moment shouldn't consider stopping smoking.
You'll be happy to hear they aren't on my prescription list though. |
Re: Stop it. It's bad for you!
After reading that lot I'm thinking should i commit suicide now and get it over with, or take my chances and ignore what is written. The decisions one has to make in life it's never ending.
