kids questions
 

Those with kids know they can as awkward, embarressing and sometimes silly questions but this time my daughter left me stumped. So please dont laugh I need help, so why are navel and jaffa oranges so called because I aint got a clueand she thiks its funny that I dont have the answer help please help:o

The name jaffa comes from Jaffa in Palestine where the oranges originated and the navel orange's name originates from the berry that was at the end of the blossom before the orange then grew hence the name navel. Hope that helps :)

Speaking of kids saying things, my little lad did a story for school, and said

i went to shop, his Dad said Jack it doesnt make sense, you need to say yo the shop. He said well they don't in Lancashire.. (I am now in the midlands)

My neice had a lancashire accent untill she went to Cornwall now we call her posh tottie because of the way she speaks now.:D

I think its great how children pick up accents etc, my 3 year old already tries to mimic other accents!
