top of milnshaw lane

last year alterations were made to milnshaw lane to make it safer and slow traffic down

i would like to congratulate the highway departmen or who ever thought of making these alterations as it has made it near imposible to judge where traffic is coming from especialy as a pedestrian

i have just had a very near escape whilst carrying my son across the road because of the alterations made cars coming down whalley road have to leave it to leave it to the last minuite before starting to turn to go down milnshaw lane

normaly i would blame the driver but this time i can lay the blame 100% at the doorstep of whoever thought of making these alterations

i think i may need to take a picture to get my point across but anyone in the area will know what ime talking about as daily you can see people having to run for their lives because a car has asppeard from no where whilst they are half way acros the road

its not too bad when its quiet but at busy times of the day when there are quite a few cars on the road it is very hard for drivers to see pedestrians crossing the road until the very last second

I've always hated crossing there anyway. It's the road which goes up from the viaduct roundabout past the Peugeot garage and joins onto Whalley Rd at the Kwik Fit garage.

I have managed for 36 years without it so far.

I think (but not often) that the top of Milnshaw Road is better now. That is from a drivers point of view though.

Is it when you are walking up/down Whalley Road and crossing the entrance of Milnshaw Road that is the problem?

From this drivers point of view i hate that junction when it's busy, you have to have eyes in the back of your head ...... I can see were chav is coming from.
