Don't you just hate it when you lose something!!!

I've spent all morning looking for my receipt for the plasma tv i bought (but never got) from Tiny and i have used it often when ringing them up and i thought i would give them another call today before calling the financial ombudsman, but can i find it now i need it?

I remember putting it in that safe place but now ive forgotten where that safe place is, i've trashed my house looking for it so now i need to tidy up and still look for it.

What a knightmare im having.

I do it all the time. I don't think a day goes by without me asking "where're my keys?", "who's moved my watch?", "has anyone had my phone?", "where's my purse?"

Keys, watch, phone and purse have lives of their own. I'm sure they up sticks and go for walkabouts during the night. Despite my best efforts to leave them all together for the morning I always have to hunt for at least one of them every morning.

The thing ive learned is that u never find what you are looking for until you either ain't looking for it or need it & it always surprises me when i find the stuff i lost & haven't seen for ages.

I actually think we have a ghost, you see last week daddiboo put his 2 gold bracelets on the bed and they have both vanished too!!


I would'nt mind but i only bought him the last one in July,

I was saying before i lost it was the when you put things in a safe place its that safe you cant even find it LOL

Try looking inside your shoe (not the ones you're wearing, the ones that are down by the side of the armchair). That's where Zack used to post most things in our house.

Brand new chairs it wont fit down their and i only got little feet and the receipt is 2 A4 sheets so it wont fit in my shoe.

Well ive checked the box where i thought it could be and it were'nt there and it wont fit in my purse checked the drawers, thanks

It drives me mad because i know it will be in a place that is really stupid and it will be sat there giggling at me going frantic looking either that or i will find it on sunday when i cant ring up.

Paper usually gets scooped up in our house with the newspapers and magazines. Tons of times I have to go hunting through the white bags to find stuff.

LOL its probably with my camcorder receipt i haven't been able to find yet & thats 4yrs ago, luckily it works now:cool: but it didnt when i needed it for the guarentee.

OMG lol lost or ....... KIDnapped!

I'm always loseing things but usually one of the kids have had it! 2 teenage daughters believe me this has even extended to clothes and make-up. I'm sick of asking at the moment "OK who's had my top or mascara!!"

Worse thing in our house is the sky remote control usual conversation goes "Where's the sky doofer?" chorus of voices answer "I haven't had it!" so I usually end up just saying "Ohhh so it's me hiding it again!" :(

Car keys both mt and myself are terrible for just putting them down and can't remember were :o (can't blame that one on the kids) When we are planning going out anywere we have to add 10 mins onto it to hunt the keys that's when I actually remember to lock the thing lol!! :rolleyes:


OMG! lmao and the phone ......... who invented cordless phones it's ringing and ringing and everyones running round playing hunt the phone listening to were the ring is coming from :rolleyes:

LOL & u have to tip them everywhere to find them & if you dont get any success then it gets very annoying having to clear it up..... when ive gone to look for things my house always end up looking like its been raided LOL:(

Oh yeh that has to be the major issue in our house, the kids will hide the remote from one another & even take it to the loo so the other wont snatch it!! Im forever having to ask them "wheres the remote gone again?" or to find it cos they cant remember where they stashed it - always when its my turn for the tv:(

Im clever now cos i have a spare one upstairs:) & the kids hate it cos its a bit funny on the buttons lol

lmao so do I, up there for thinking down there for danceing!!

We like playing tricks on them with the sky link that we had installed so that we could turn the sky box channels over from upstairs ........we wait until it's all quiet downstairs and they're engrossed in a film then turn it over :D each one blaming the other until they hear mum and dad killing themselves laughing upstairs !!!

Yeah we have tv link in our room only thing is it works both ways im upstairs watching and my 6 year old turns it over to the cartoons and then i turn it back and then she turns it and so on and so on until I win. Hee Hee

Its usually my keys that hide especially when I am running late. Would socks count as i have a pile of odd ones mostly after I been washing, so now convinced the washing machine hides them.:D

I'm always loosing my keys, house and car, they usually turn up in my bag even though I'd have looked in it 3 times without finding them, its like the Bermuda Triangle in there!

I lost both my mobile phones the other week - I left them on top of my car, then drove off with them on the roof.

When we discovered what had happened, someone had already made off with them...

Funny isant it the things i want to lose i cant like weight i want to lose weight but can't and the stuff i want to keep i can't! lol ( its a funny ole world eh)
