Re: the crash sat ngt at on the accrington bypass
According to tonight's Telegraph they are thought to be from Manchester. There were three people in the car. The woman, driver, who was 26 and a male passenger 37 (not 27 as stated earlier) both died in hospital, The other passenger has a broken wrist.
If your friend is local then it looks like it wasn't her. |

Re: the crash sat ngt at on the accrington bypass
It just gives details of the time of the accident and what happened in the paper. Nothing about who they are apart from they are all three thought to be from Manchester area.

Re: the crash sat ngt at on the accrington bypass
if i phoned up the hospital do you reckon they will tell me ?
|
Re: the crash sat ngt at on the accrington bypass
no I don't think they will unless you are next of kin. The names will be released when all close family members have been notified. How come if your friend lives manchester way you assumed when the accident happened over here that it could be your friend??

Re: the crash sat ngt at on the accrington bypass
It would do you no good to ring the hospitals. Even if you are the next of kin, they are not allowed to give information over the phone. It's called patient confidentiality, also you would be surprised at how sneaky the press can be. They will often ring hospitals pretending to be family and asking for info. I have dealt with this on several occasions and the only way nurses can deal with this is to tell everybody nothing. We only give information, to anybody, with the patient's permission.

Re: the crash sat ngt at on the accrington bypass
Gee sorry to hear Bezz, is there anyone you can contact that knows the people that you suspect it to be ?
|
Re: the crash sat ngt at on the accrington bypass
Have you heard anything else Bezz????
yes lettie i agree, being in the same situation as you at work, to be safe just don't give details over the phone, your job is well and truly up the creek if information falls into wrong hands. |
