Emergency landing

JetBlue Flight 292 took off from the Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, California, at 3.17pm yesterday bound for New York, but the crew quickly discovered that its front wheels were stuck in a sideways position and could not be retracted. The Airbus A320 was immediately diverted to Los Angeles International airport, but was forced to circle for three hours to burn off fuel that could have exploded during an emergency landing. Heres the video

That is one very skillful pilot. It must have been unnerving when the wheel caught fire.

Re: Emergency landing

On the Airbus 320,the wings are constructed in Britain and the engines are also manufactured by Rolls Royce; all the rest is of European make. What do you expect then, when the front undercarriage bends like a paperclip? It is, as usual, typical Euro Rubbish.

I think this comes from a Manx cat, don't you? I can't see where the tail was. I think these are made in China....I wonder if Wingy could bring me a pair back with him?

What a cracking landing. Congratulations to the pilot who managed to keep that aircraft absolutely straight. I wish we had had him landing us at Manchester from Greece this year instead of Captain Kangaroo.....:D

Eh? Surely there is nothing better than a near miss or a good bouncy landing to add to the excitement of your holiday....

Re: Emergency landing

what's funny is that JetBlue flights have sattelite TV on every seat, so the people on board could watch their own landing on the news while landing. :D
