No smiling visage.

I was very sad to read the whole of this weeks Observer to find not one picture of council leader Peter Britcliffe beaming out of the pages. Is this a first?

Normally we can look forward to at least a couple of piccies. I even carefully checked the Night Life page with a magnifying glass to see if he was lurking in the Regency Bar, hoping that he might have won 12 bottles of Blue WKD, to help him get over this sad slip up in his relentless Google Page Ranking campaign.

It always amazes me how unpopular he seems to be, like a little Lancashire Nero, yet the people of the Borough still elected him in.

Re: No smiling visage.

It did make me laugh the other week when he attended a match at Accrington Stanley, especially when the crowd serenaded him with-

'He's fat,
he's round.
he's sold our chuffing town,
Peter Britcliffe,
Peter Britcliffe.'

He has got a sense of humour, as even he smiled. Well all publicity is good publicity.

He's a clever man. If his picture wasn't in the paper there's probably a very good reason for it.

Don't worry Gary I would not want you to miss out on your weekly pleasure ;). This week everyone in St Andrews ward received a leaflet through the door about the Area Council with a picture of Peter Britcliffe and Brian Walmsley. I will save it for you if you like.

Well, I should get my own copy if I live in St Andrew's. I wonder if I've been missed off the mailing list deliberately. Might be an idea if you keep your copy for me Neil.
