I need some ackers

When I first joined this forum I joined for the big debate. Anyway, putting that to one side, I signed up with my full name - Gayle Knight - because, well because it's my name.

Since I've settled in and got more friendly, even been, dare I say it - accepted, I've begun to think that my full name is just a tad on the formal side.

So, I thought it would be good if I could change my name to simply 'Gayle'. The only way I can do it apparently is by 'buying' a name change in the forum shop. Only problem is that costs £10,500 and I only have around £2,500. Anyone fancy giving me an early Christmas present so that I can change my name?

Just checked and it's not £10,500, it's £10,700. Based on my current rate of posting it will take me about 18 months to get that much.

I'm going to have to start saying hello to all the new members aren't I?

Thank you to my mysterious benefactor. I'm well on the way now - anyone else care to help me? I'll send you some karma if you help. Thank you

If you carry on with the new threads Gayle it wont be that long. I'll keep answering them when I build some up I'll donate.

Why not just sign up again as Gayle and stop using the other account.

Re: I need some ackers

Because I'd lose all my karma and my points that I've already saved up. Plus, it's cheating.

You could donate all your Ackers to me, and then I could donate them to your new identity. There is no way of swapping Karma though.

Re: I need some ackers

You could transfer your ackers and as for the karma... are you joking? are you the one person on accyweb that cares?

Who said its cheating. Lots of people have done it before.. Me, WINGY, Roy.. go one tell us.. who told you it was cheating?

I cant even see my karma or anyone elses so it doesnt effect me at all :)

PING! As if by magic an idea forms.. I think I will reinvent myself... BOB sound nice :)

Like you Gayle, I signed up with my proper name......and for reasons like yours.....it IS my name. I think even if I changed my name....(which, by the way I can't afford to do....)people would still know it's me. I think after a while you get to know the 'flavour'(for want of a better word) of peoples postings. Stay as you are.....how many people reply to you as Gayle Knight...? I think most people will just reply to you as Gayle.

Can I just add, having two or more user accounts is not allowed. There are procedures one can take if things are not all well.

Please read on:

The bottom line here is to register one account and stick with it. If you have account problems, contact one of the staff and state the problem you are having. One of the Staff may recommend that you re-register if the problem cannot be solved but in most all cases a problem with an account can be corrected by staff.

As you clearly don't care about the ackers why don't you give me back the 1,000 that I gave to you on Sunday night. Roy gave me 8,000 ackers on Sunday and said I could either hand them out as prizes or keep them to myself - I chose the more noble route. If you don't care Kipax - give them back.

This thread is bordering on a begging thread so if there's anyone willing to donate can I have some please, I bet all my ackers on Man Utd beating Blackburn and lost the lot so can I have some for being an idiot.

No, oh ye of little faith.

If I get more than I need I might share them out but at this point I'm a long way off.

Actually, that's a thought - should I put all the ackers that I've already had donated to me on the next match? Would that be considered irresponsible?

Re: I need some ackers

I have no idea what your talking about.. You gave me 1000 ackers?

Also who said I dont care about ackers.. your mixing it up with my karma comments.... can you at least read my messages before going off on one..
