Re: Chocoholics

|
Re: Chocoholics
Milk and white chocolate are my faves. Don't like dark chocolate, it's too bitter. Anne's right, I remember a similar thread which will be in the archives. It was done a couple of years ago.
|
Re: Chocoholics
Love dark chocolate the higher the cocoa content the better yum yum.:)
|
Re: Chocoholics
I get Julie a subscription to these guys every Xmas http://www.hotelchocolat.co.uk/cx1/default_ctc.asp
She gets a box every couple of months. Top quality choccys...... Ian |
Re: Chocoholics
I have to buy 75kg of chocolate every month! I don't eat it all myself, I hasten to add.
|
Re: Chocoholics
Galaxy fruit and nut hmmmm to die for, i love chocolate but i dont like the cheap stuff thats all tasteless and like wax. yuk.
|
Re: Chocoholics
Plain old dairy milk, tho I adore Toblerone. Oh yes and thos cheap 'n' nasty choc footballs i love em!!!
Thanks for that I am on a diet and premenstral.........its HELL! |
Re: Chocoholics
it was a sad thing to hear on the news this morning that Terrys of York ceased production in the UK last week. Apparently they are moving all production to Eastern Europe because it will cost less. Call me old fashioned but, I don't think that Terrys of Plovdiv has the same ring to it some how.
|
Re: Chocoholics
It saddens me too..... though I eat very little chocolate.....it seems as if York is losing some of its heritage and history.......and they are looking at turning the lovely red brick factory into luxury apartments.
|
Re: Chocoholics
ooooo i love all chocolate but have now developed an allergy to it, just can't eat any now.
|
Re: Chocoholics
For all of you that cannot resist that smooth and creamy bar just click on:-
|
Re: Chocoholics
Blaming thread responsible for tempting me to the shop for a dark bounty..... wish i got 2 now pmsl
|
Re: Chocoholics
I love chocolate but try to keep the consumption down. I find the best way of doing this is to buy expensive chocolate - Green & Black's organic is great, and so is the 70% cocoa Lindt - yummy! That way your budget limits you, even if your appetite doesn't.
|
Re: Chocoholics
Try going to Selfridges in Manchester and buying the bug chocolates - real bugs encased in chocolate or sweets. Very nutricious so I've been told.
|
Re: Chocoholics
I think I'll give those a miss Gayle.....
|
Re: Chocoholics
eeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Gayle err i love chocolate but not that much ..err pass PMSL!!
|
Re: Chocoholics
You know what I've just realised - put up a thread about politics or local issues and we thread wander all over the place, put up a thread about chocolate and we remain focused to the end.
|

See i tried pmsl:D |
Re: Chocoholics
I love Bounty's.................either the milk chocolate, or the dark chocolate.......it doesn't matter with a bounty.................yummy scrummy!!!!!!
|
Re: Chocoholics
I'm beginning to feel sorry for white chocolate now. I like it almost as much as I like dark chocolate and tons, tons, more than I like boring old milk chocolate. Do you remember the chocolate bars that used to have three layers a bit like a chocolate sandwich but dark, white, dark chocolate? I liked those, A LOT!
|
Re: Chocoholics
Although, technically - and this is a bit of a geek moment coming up - white chocolate isn't actually chocolate at all.

Re: Chocoholics
I love all chocolate, but i do prefer the quality ones like Lindts and Green and Blacks, but my absolute favourites are hand made ones which I get from www.hotelchocolat.co.uk.
Ian gets me a subscription of these every year for my xmas present, i get a box delivered every three months for the year. I treat myself to about three chocolates a week so that the box lasts me until the next one arrives. |
Re: Chocoholics
Forget England and America - it's very obvious that the REAL Special Relationship is between women and chocolate!
I loved those sandwich bars, too, Gayle - haven't seen one for years though. |
Re: Chocoholics
I like dark choc the best!! Old Jamaica
(rum n rasin) is my all time fav |
Re: Chocoholics

Re: Chocoholics
Neil and I went to Makro the other, day he picked up the large tins of Roses & quality street and we priced them up for Christmas but i made him put them back as I knew they wouldn't make it to Christmas! so we'll have to go in a few weeks instead!
|
Re: Chocoholics
Dark chocolate in 100gram blocks. Consumed almost immediately on getting home from the shopping trip. For 25d, Tescos do a very tasty number with Netto not far behind.
|
Re: Chocoholics
Give me a red Bounty anyday...that is almost the taste of paradise.
|
Re: Chocoholics
Well i may just be a little strange,

|
Re: Chocoholics
Okay, okay, I confess.
Got lunch out today for once, lovely toasted blue brie & tomato sandwich, couple of glasses of wine. On the way back to the office - chocolate strikes! I just HAD to have a Bounty (milk) because all you lot have been writing about them. So here I am, chocolate in mitt, typing with one hand. And it's LOVELY! |
Re: Chocoholics
Thats it pendy, blame us for your lack of self control :)
|
Re: Chocoholics

|
Re: Chocoholics
Got a chocolate brownie today from Pret a Manger - gorgeous, and no one to blame but me!
