Bed!!

What sort of mattress do you have? do you like it, hate it? We are considering one of those memory foam or Tempur ones but are undecided at the mo.

Your comments would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advanced, and if we get one you can come have a lie down!! but I don't do B&B..sorry

Re: Bed!!

you can send for a free sample of i think the tempur one why dont you just get lots of them and sew them together for a cheap but still very comfy alternative.

I had one of these before I moved to Moscow. I'd definately recommend it - very comfortable and you get a great nights sleep. Not cheap, but well worth it!

Where did you get if from Roy? I have seen them on the net but not in a shop yet to try out. They are a bit cheeper than the Tempur ones and one site that sold both, thought they were actually better.

Errrmm, strange how the lady at Whitebirk did not mention that they had some different ones at the other shop isn't it? Looks like we are going to the other Prestige in the morning. Thanks mate.

Errmmm, this is my bed. I know it's a tad old fashioned but it has been in the family quite a while. I find it is every bit as comfortable as it was when I first used it. In fact there are still some parts of it that I haven't ever slept in!

chav1 10-10-2005 19:16

Re: Bed!!

Romps, I'm confused as per usual.

Is the bed you want like the one the late Thora Third used to advertise on Channel 4 in the afternoons?

The one that lifts your legs in the air?

Good Grief Rindy could Thora Old Bird Hird get her legs up there? I thought she was the armchair with the ejector seat type myself, or was she the super absorbent tenna lady lady???

Re: Bed!!

I have a mattress that moulds to your body (bought due to a spinal problem). Cost me a lot but then we have no probs splashing out on a new sofa and yet we spend more time in bed and it's more important to have a decent mattress. Mine is a simmons 1500 and it is fab. Firm but soft at same time, Ok, that doesn't make sense so I'll stop there!!!!

Have you broken the bed, or is it too hard?

Re: Bed!!

We've got one of those beds that lifts up at the head and foot, with two separate mattresses, so that you don't sproing the other half out of bed when you move yours. Great if you have asthma or something similar. And it vibrates .... yes, I do have a 6 foot vibrator. The mattresses have a firm side and a soft side, so you can choose which you have. It's very comfortable, but was very expensive. However, you do spend a lot of your life in bed (I'd love to spend more) so a good bed is an investment.
