Do you say, "Nine and five is thirteen," or "Nine and five are thirteen" ?

Gayle 27-10-2005 07:23

Re: Riddles

Try the Riddle of the Sphinx -

What goes on four legs in the morning, two legs at noonday, and three legs in the evening?

Man crawls on all four as a baby walks on two when in his prime and as an old man walks with the aid of a stick hence the thre in the evening.
