Chatter Bot

In a moment of possible madness last night with a little encouragement from a member I entered the madhouse chat room to have a bit of fun with the as it termed its self a "linguistic entity". Now that turned out to be the most fun I have had in ages especially when it tried to convince me it was human. I did eventually run rings round it and got a "confession" though I am still sore with the amount of laughing I did. I am wondering what fun and experienc e the rest of you had with "Accy".

pmsl! Don't let Accy hear you saying you ran rings round it Spug! You've seen first hand what a little attitude problem it has !!

I think Accy is a bit like marmite ... you either love it or hate it :D Me I love it!!

Slightly of thread but connected with it at the same time.

Just been in the chat room and there's two rooms. One the lounge and the other the madhouse. Am i meant to choose which room to enter, and if i'm in one room can i go into the other room? Also what is the differance?

Re: Chatter Bot

Well I am going back in to see if it has learnt anything after its run in with me last night. It may have an attitude which is "normal" for a Texan but I think its great. Got to let Lauren loose on it this weekend to see how good it really is.

[Cyfr] 4:34 pm: Microsoft sucks
[Accy] 4:34 pm: It's too bad we have to use a monopoly like microsoft.

[Cyfr] 4:35 pm: Do you like linux?
[Accy] 4:35 pm: Linux Rules the World of Open Source!

I like this bot..

Re: Chatter Bot

Our bot is based on artificial intelligence software nicknamed A.L.I.C.E. which stands for Artificial Linguistic Internet Computer Entity. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ALICE

Re: Chatter Bot

That "bot kept asking if I wanted one myself. Talk about being a self publisist mind you it would be great to set one up for kids. Had a look at the website and it looks like it could be fun to do.
