Confusion
I've just popped on and the local time is 7.58am but accyweb time says 9.58am. Has someone moved the clock on 2hours instead of back 1hour? Or has the Halloween Gremlins been around?

Re: Confusion
We had a fuse blow yesterday so Chris had to turn all the power off to fix it - this meant that all our electric clocks had to be re-set in the afternoon. To make life easy, I just set them an hour back - so I've been working on British wintertime for about twelve hours longer than the rest of you. I was really confused.

Re: Confusion
Oh, forgot to mention - all the manual clocks are still on yesterday time, and probably will be for at least a week.
The best one though was when Chris went around the house changing all the clocks and then I went around a short while after and did it again. lol |
Re: Confusion
Now that is confusing Gayle pmsl!!!
|
Re: Confusion
My only guess is that you had the Accy Web time set to CET which is now 2hours in front (I think!)
We had this discussion last night... why does it go back at 2 and not 12? :S |
Re: Confusion
Don't get me started on 'time' - I'm actually a non-believer! lol

Re: Confusion
The server has automatically set everything correct. If your time is shown wrong then you must be set up wrong in your options here at accyweb. Go to your user cp and select the options page and you will be able to adjust your timezone settings. If you don't believe me then logout and browse the site as a guest, guests get actual server time (BST). :)

Re: Confusion
My video machine has always reset itself, without being told, every clock change since I bought it 5 years ago - until today. It is still on BST and I've lost the original remote for it and the instructions.

Re: Confusion
Oh dear westender pmsl bet your not too happy & the house is ransacked in search:eek: its a pain when you need the remote to progamme things these days & dont take into account it can be lost.
|
Re: Confusion
Thats what you call painful and goes to show that the replacement ones that can tune in to all are very basic. :( :(

Re: Confusion
All done and dusted, thanks Roy.

Re: Confusion
I can't work out how to change the time on my mobile, and since I don't have a watch these days after it got lost in Wigan somewhere back in April, I'm gonna be confused for awhile, especially when I go to set my alarm hee hee hee hee hee.

Re: Confusion
My video's fine again! It was the BBC that forgot to put the clock back. When they finally did, my video clock went back too. :)
Sarah, I can't figure how to change the clock in my car either so, like last Winter, I'll have to deduct an hour every time I look at it. :D |
Re: Confusion
I solved the problem of my mobile......I got a new one!
|
Re: Confusion
Sarah thats not bad providing it cost nothing but if you have to pay for a new one it can become an expensive option.
|
Re: Confusion
I'm on contract, so I just upgraded!
|
Re: Confusion
I can reset everything except the stupid clock in the front room. We were away at the weekend and reset watches but house clocks had to be done last night/today. It was a bit confusing when we got home. Kids wanted to go out trick-or-treating with friends and I forgot the house was an hour wrong so I thought they got back later than they did.
