Mexican theme night

Following on from A-Bs suggestion - does anyone fancy holding a Mexican theme night on Accy web, or as they would say in Mexico, a Mekheekan theme night?

It doesn't have to be Mexican if anyone else has a preference but I'm thinking Sunday might be a good night to hold it.

Suggestions please for how we could all get into the spirit of it - I'm dusting off my sombrero right now.

Re: Mexican theme night

:) I like the general idea, but Mexican? Don’t you think that some of us are struggling with English as it is? I struggle with most of the txt talk and some of the big words that people use with out having to putting “El Paxo” in front everything? :p ....................But I will give way to any reasonable suggestions. :)

Re: Mexican theme night

I will happily wear a sombrero for the night but keep the food away from me. I hate Mexican food (can't stand chillis or peppers). I think that the food is the main reason why so many Mexicans try to illegally cross the border into the USA every year.. They're nissed off with the food...:D

Re: Mexican theme night

Its simple enough, although it helps to be drunk when you do it. You take a shot of Tequilla (preferably with the worm ) in your right hand and you give youself an eye bath in your right eye for about 30 seconds..you have your salt and lime balanced on your left hand. After you've finished your eye bath you drink it in one, lick the salt and bite the lime....then you do your left eye, which is a bit harder as salts gets in there...then the right again. Its a good old drinking game....do it with a partner & see who can last the longest!

It is a good idea to book an appointment with your GP for the following morning, by which time you will need a white stick & a clever dog.

Don't seem to have had much interest in this - what about Sci-fi (there's a few strange creatures on here) or Medieval (plenty of 'evil' people around) or what about a karaoke night (not sure how that would work but we could give it a go).

Never play it with a Japanese partner. The sight of a Jap's eye, dribbling in tequilla is quite .... well, an eye opener.

No, doesn't seem like there are any takers. So, I'll be sat at home all alone with my sombrero all dusted off, drinking a tequila and listening to Down Mexico Way. It paints a sad picture doesn't it?

Definitly not a mexican theme night, the last time I went to one of those I woke up with a tattoo of a mexican cutie on my arm, I've no idea where I got it.

I must admit the idea didn't thrill me. I loved the awards night, but the idea of us all dressed up in some national costume, talking in accents leaves me a bit cold.

What about an 'adults only night', were anything really does go?

No censorship, I'd be in my element.:)

Mexican Ok, as long as not yer birthday, had the pleasure of working in Virginia 3 years hence, people I had met took me out as a treat to Mexican restaurant; seemed to be a tradition that on the last course, they came to your table to serenade (all very lovely), then splat a gooey dessert straight in your face, however, being British, smiled through it all even though mascara running down face .. b*****ds took a photo too. Feel this could happen with the eye-wash, so will pass on that one. LOL
