Here's one I made earlier

Some of you were kind enough to express an interest in the sort of stuff I produce in Blackpool, here are a couple of examples.

Re: Here's one I made earlier
At this juncture A-B I have to point out that I am undergoing an excruciating 1500 calorie a day diet, one that has reduced my weight by nearly a stone in three weeks. I would like you to know that I have just put all that weght back on just by looking at such welcoming and inducing creations….Fantastic.

Re: Here's one I made earlier
Posting that is just plain old mean. We went out for tea earlier on and when it got to dessert time no one else wanted one. Of course, I couldn't be the piggy who said yes, so I shook my head - all the time thinking, that cheesecake looks really good.

Re: Here's one I made earlier
look great yum, went for a bithday cake to asda today, the one the lady wants specially for her 21st-they didn't have.

Re: Here's one I made earlier
What's inside?
It has nothing to do with what you pm'd me about last weekend? That's not a feather behind one of the cherries?;) |

Re: Here's one I made earlier

|
Re: Here's one I made earlier
Darlings you don't know the size of those mothers.
Those creamy confections are six foot tall. I know who is inside.;) |
Re: Here's one I made earlier
The base is a sponge that is lighter than clouds, which is then layered with cream and fruit and real kirsche, where necessary. The whole ensemble is then covered in cream, chocolate or coconut, more friut and more cream! They come in two sizes 10 inch x two layer for £6.00 and 10 inch x three layer for £10.50, wholesale. They will furnish eighteen generous portions and if kept properly refrigerated will stand for up to six days. You can even freeze them with no trouble.
Strangely, quite a lot of the hotels we have shown them to in Blackpool think that they are too expensive! |
Re: Here's one I made earlier
Not only do they look totally delicious but they seem to be very good value. My mouth is watering looking at the piccies, I may need to have a dessert when I go out for my lunch today.....:D

Re: Here's one I made earlier
BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!! If you talk nicely to Mick for the purchase of just 12 yes, ONLY 12 Accyweb T'shirts or Sweat shirts he will risk his weakened heart and test drive one of these delicious looking cakes and send you a personal hand written report straight from the obese unit at Queens park Hospital. |
Re: Here's one I made earlier
do you sell to companies as well as hotels AB..?
a lot of places i have worked for usualy put on refreshments like cake with tea and biscuits when they have a management meeting or are showing customers around the factory or warehouse , it may be worth dropping off a buisness card or leaflet to companies in your area ps: cakes look good how much is a free one ..? |

Re: Here's one I made earlier
yeah but at £1.50 a portion they will nearly tripple their money and with it been blackpool they will probably charge at least £2.00 a portion
£10.50 will get you B&B in blackpool but i wouldnt sleep in the bed and i wouldnt eat the breakfast lol |

Re: Here's one I made earlier
Hi A-B...Its a shame you can't do one about 30ft in diameter...it would look very nice on top of the coppice. As for a normal size one, though, is it possible you could send 'em through the post? I know alot of high value foodstuffs are home delivered these days....or maybe failing that, have you thought of taking orders on here?
|
Re: Here's one I made earlier
send one to the stag for the next meet or better still bring one , if they taste as good as they look you may get orders
do you do birthday , wedding cakes etc ? |
Re: Here's one I made earlier
Who do you work for A-b?. They look a little like ' Le Souci' or perfect pasties cakes to me.

Re: Here's one I made earlier
Errrrm, while not wishing to blow my own trumpet, I must confess that I am the owner of my little slice of heaven. The cakes are just bread and butter stuff at the moment. The real fun will start this winter when we start experimenting with modernist desserts. We have three hotels champing at the bit for them now.....and they don't even know what they are going to look like yet.
|
Re: Here's one I made earlier
A-B I have just tormented myself gazing at your mouthwatering confection.....what I want to know is will the fat go to my real hips or my virtual hips?
|
Re: Here's one I made earlier
How much of a profit do these hotels expect?!? £10.50 doesn't sound too much for something they are going to get at least £27.00 for when they sell it. That doesn't sound too bad a mark up to me.
Or are we talking about the cake being a part of the meal which is included in the price of the B&B? They do look delicious but I'd have to go for one without kirsch and without calories. |

Re: Here's one I made earlier
Do we have to order in bulk? Or can we get them from somewhere?
|
Re: Here's one I made earlier
Actually, we are looking for regular business as opposed to one-off/impulse sales, but I am prepared to consider anything, drop me a PM!
|
Re: Here's one I made earlier
Seriously A-b they do look nice, but dare I say.......a bit seventies.
I think I'll wait for your avant garde moderniste creations in the new year, unless of course I have one of my Abigail's Party parties. Denis Rousseau, mmmmmmm. 'Nother gin 'n' tonic Tone? |
Re: Here's one I made earlier
My dad always said 'Blow your own trumpet as loud as you can 'cause no ****** else is going to'
