no injuries i know of locally, but was interested to read that a good few children @ adults were injured in kettering at an organised bonfire,a rocket apparently hit the 15'000 crowd, and i'm one who believes in organised bonfires!!!

The only ones we saw were from well inside the house. No injuries apart from ears because they were/are so LOUD!

Well, I sincerely hope no one was injured ... wouldn't like to see this tradition go anyway.
I was once a casualty on Bonfire Night when I was 13 years old, not in the traditional way though. Was a bit of a Tomboy then, and you know the coytes how they join up to next door with a 2' drop .. well was up there watching the bonfire in the back street, which we had spent weeks labouring over the wood collecting. Must have got carried away and jumped down the 10' drop into the back yard instead of the 2' drop. Finished up with both wrists broken and heavy concussion. Naturally, to add to my embarassment, the Observer had to make a big thing of it, and THEN was featured in their 30 years ago (or whatever) article. !!

Not the claim to fame you wanted on bonfire night then. Have fond memories of wood collecting its splinters cuts etc but never anything serious.:)
