Drama Festival called off!!!

Well, I'm sad to say that the drama festival that I had planned for February is being cancelled. I needed six nights of shows/plays to make it work and I could only fill four.

I'm not going to give up though - I'll try and reschedule for later in the year and see if I have better luck.

Which does now leave me with an interesting quandry. I've provisionally booked Ossy Town Hall for the week - of course, I could cancel it and there wouldn't be any issue but the alternative is that I keep a couple of the days and put something else on that doesnt' need quite as much involvement.

So ideas would be welcome

Tea dance one afternoon
Chocolate fair
Cheese market
Bring and buy sale

Any other suggestions?

Hmm, except for the cheese mainly girly attractions, (no rindy before you start this is not a get at gayle day, again!).

However, the only thing that i can think of would be a beery thing to go well with a good sampling of that cheese, MMMMM, Beer and cheesy moments what more can a man ask?

Well, I am a girly so it's not surprising I have girly ideas - that's why I asked for alternatives.

Plus, I thought 'Get at Gayle Day' was the new name for Thursday's. lol

Please don't bring the rib thief into the equation, I for one haven't forgiven him (yes, him), for that little escapade.

Actually something for very young people might not be a bad idea. I'll think about that some more.

What about a photographic exhibition “Accrington - what it means to me” Three categories which could include Past, Present and New, this last category could be one about bringing in ideas from other areas where conservation, restoration, redevelopment or other change has work for the better.

In the other half of the hall you could have a period food festival with a seasonal theme to it will plenty of mulled ale for the men folk and a drop of wine for the ladies.
