Hotel or b&B needed!!!!!
 

Hi,
Im not from Accrington but im looking for a cheapish place to stay tomorrow night. Ie a b and b or a pub hotel? does anyone know one because the only ones online i can find look pretty expensive

I'm not sure there are that many in Accrington. You have dunkenhalgh, and sparth house, but, you will pay through the nose for them. Good luck!!

You could try Wendy's B & B on Whalley Road, it's quite close to the town centre and I beliebe is quite reasonable - tel. no. is 01254 871060.

Try the Norwood Guest House on Whalley Road opposite the Crown. I've stayed there before and I can thoroughly recommend it. They do a cracking full English too!

I do believe that the standard of accommodation is somewhat higher than the standard of written english to be found on their website.

Wendy's B&B is no longer there.....it was sold some weeks ago and has been done up and now accommodates delinquent kids.

Dr Lovelace's soap was manufactured in Clayton. I think the factory was somewhere near the canal bridge. Vaguely remember the soap from when I was a kid. It floated on the surface of the water so you didn't lose it in the bath!

As for the Norwood, they cook a lot better than they spell!

pilkingtons on blackburn rd do bed /breakfast for £20.......its the one nr the railway station.
