Would you have plastic surgery?

Is there something that you might like to change about yourself or are you perfect as you are?

If I had the money I'd definitely consider a nose job!

Tinkerbelle 27-11-2005 20:29

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

lol! I really annoy people with the cosmetic surgery conversation! I would love to, I'd have everything done, start afresh lol! The ony surgery I don't like is the 'trout mouth' look!

SPUGGIE J 27-11-2005 20:29

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

I would stay as I am as I am sure I could find a better use for the money.
How I look is who I am.

Got to agree with the "trout pout" it looks like like the owner belongs with Lamfreys sucking on stones.

Gayle 27-11-2005 20:37

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

Yep, definitely wouldn't go for the pout trout thing. Actually, there's a few things I'd consider - I'd go for the collagen in the forehead to smooth it out a bit and I wouldn't mind a tummy tuck to get rid of the baby belly.

Tinkerbelle 27-11-2005 20:37

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

Massive busters don't look very nice either, I wouldn't like a 'Lo Lo' look maybe just a cup size larger :)

Gayle 27-11-2005 20:38

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

I'd want a cup size smaller if I'm honest - they can give you back ache you know? lol

Plastic surgery's not for me.
I dont like pain.
Think I will stick with my wrinkles.

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

No....I wouldn't have plastic surgery. I'm not perfect... and there are things about myself that I would like to be different.....but I can think of better things to do with the money......oh yes, almost forgot.....I am a craven coward!

Tinkerbelle 27-11-2005 20:42

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

Wonder if anyone on here will admit to having botox, I'd love a go at that!

Gayle 27-11-2005 20:43

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

Oops that's what I meant - not collagen in the forehead - Botox. I'd love to have a go!

Margaret Pilkington 27-11-2005 20:45

No...No....No to Botox.....it is POISON!

Tinkerbelle 27-11-2005 20:46

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

lol! The only thing I'd leave alone when I start listing wht I'd have done is my ears, I have cute dinky ears .......... that's it ...... everything else I'd like to buy one out of a cosmetic surgery catalouge :)

Gayle 27-11-2005 20:47

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

But think about it Margaret, a lovely smooth forehead again - I'd definitely go for that.

Especially after Maddie said to me 'Mummy why do you have lines across your head like that'. She was only three at the time and very observant.

Debbie J 27-11-2005 20:50

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

I dont like my belly which seems to have appeared over the last few months. A skin peel would probably be a good idea & liposuction on my derrier would make me look better but I wouldn't have it done. the cost & the pain being the biggest reasons & I've reached the stage where if people don't like me the way I am then they can just ignore me

ANNE 27-11-2005 20:53

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

If they invent pain free treatments and I had loads of money. Then I would have loads of things done.
They can rebuild me.

West Ender 27-11-2005 21:05

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

Where do I start?

I'd have the nose refined, the teeth straightened, the eyes sculpted and the jaw-line tightened.

Hell's bells, I think I should walk around with a paper bag on my head after that little lot. :D

Doug 27-11-2005 21:21

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

I wish I’d looked more like my dad when he was in his 30s; he was a good looking man. If I could change anything it would be my knees, there really knackered. I would never want to change my features irrespective of how bad they are, I don't like what I see in the mirror, but at the end of the day its me, its what I was given and I haven’t done that bad on it.

katex 27-11-2005 22:15

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

Nothing wrong with trying to improve yer looks ... my daughter offered me a Botox for Christmas last year, ('aint telling ya' what she bought me the previous Christmas) refused in case I liked it. Only last so long and couldn't afford another, so would make me miserable and depressed.
Rather fancy one of those forehead lifts though which lift the eyes too... have noticed recentely that my eyeshadow does tend to migrate onto my drooping upper bits. :(

garinda 27-11-2005 22:19

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

I was going to say why gild the lily, but after seeing some of the horrific photographs in the gallery from last nights meet, I think I'll book one of those acid peels first thing tomorrow.

katex 27-11-2005 22:24

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

You looked cool to me Garinda ... all about character and that's what it does for you ... have a friend with a roman nose and she is always going on about it, but she is gorgeous and it makes her more attractive. Some perfect, pretty faces aren't attractive and interesting if you know what I mean.

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

First thing I would go for would be a eye brow lift and excess skin removed. If it was possible I would have about 5 stone of fat sucked from all parts of the body... but it would have to be painless of course.

Know what you mean about the gallery pics Rindy, I cringe everytime I look at them. I'm sure Micks been using a wider lens so it makes me look twice the size

My brother in law had that done and he thinks it was wonderful. He definitely recommends it. Chris wants to have it done but he's waiting for his eyes to deteriorate a bit more because you can only have it done once.

Would having it done now not stop them from getting worse in the first place Gayle? I love to have it done but regrettably it’s not something that would work for me.

Stop frowning at my posts, then you won't need surgery, I have to put up with what's in my brain(wouldn't pay to have it altered!), if your friends are true they will (in your case under sufferance [joke honest!] put up with how you look), these surgeons that 'improve things' are lazy, it's easier to steal money off the conceited than to actually do some good!

I do not in this statement include the genuine doctor's that care for the people that have suffered accidents, etc>

Are you saying that "physical sight improvements" are a rip off Less?

lettie 28-11-2005 15:27

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

There's no way that I'd consider surgery for purely cosmetic reasons. Less's comment about after an accident holds some weight eg, rebuilding facial features (this does not include Botox or facelifts :D ) it normally includes nose, jaw and cheek rebuilding and skin grafts...

Cosmetic surgery is really quite addictive, a mate of mine has had loads done and I wouldn't mind but she looked better to begin with. I wouldn't let anyone inject poison into my wrinkles and let's face it...........some of these Hollywood old birds have had that many facelifts that they are expressionless and probably have to wax their necks to get rid of the pubes...:D

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

I might consider botox, not all over the face though, one of my friends has it just in 2 deep frown lines and it makes a big difference also to look at her if you didn't know you'd just think it was natural.

SPUGGIE J 28-11-2005 19:22

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

Botox no chance I would consider it. Takes me all my time t take perscription medication. Would never deliberately allow poisen in my body for anything.

It's not frowning - it's squinting to try and avoid looking at all the flashy lights on your post.

Such whit! What a come-back, how long ago was it this was posted? Now you come back at me when it's old news!

If you are going to be a worthy Councillor and at the same time be able to show yourself of use to your supporters shouldn't you at least answer a little more promptly?

I do not consider myself a representative or even a potential representative of the public, but (call it conceit if you want) I do try to keep in touch with all the threads I compose.

If however you are already too busy to keep on top of such things, when you have people with real problems and you are busy are you just going to leave the 'phone off the hook and pretend you are doing a good job?

P.S. yet again I seem to be in a position of critisim but before I get innundated by your supporters with loss of karma and also how cruel I am, in actual fact if I lived within your area I would vote for you!

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

You see that's why you keep me on my toes Less - I never know whether to stamp my feet or cheer when I read your posts.

So, in the interests of replying promptly - I hope two and a half hours is acceptable (I did have to watch 'I'm a celebrity' after all!!!!) - I do of course, keep in touch with all the threads that I start and always ensure that my posters receive a response. But what is most important, it is always a carefully thought out and well researched response which, as you know, is better than rushing in with two feet. Surely quality is better than speed?

As for your vote - until you actually move over here and put your vote where your mouth is, your half hearted attempts to mollify me after an insult really don't hold that much water!

Only half hearted? My dear woman admitted that the only real chance of me getting the chance to vote for you would be if you appeared on one of these braindead, I'm a celebrity let me gall you programmes.
I would be there though 'phone in hand ready to text your name as many times as was needed with no care about expense just to ensure you didn't have to continue with the suffering.
As for an insult no,no Gayle that wasn't an insult that was just a very strong tease, This is an insult:-

Actually Gayle due to my very proper upbringing I find it impossible to insult a lady of your stature perhaps, if you were to bend down just a little.......

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

Following the example of the french woman the other day, I think I could go for cosmetic surgery. I have half a mind to pop down to see Dixon MD and demand to be considered for a scalp transplant. I have always had a hankering for thick lustrous black hair rather than the flyaway brown/grey I am currently saddled with.

I would also like to have my nose straightened and my bags lifted; the breaking of one, lead to the fall of the other. The rest of me, however, is as perfect as perfect can be and I would not change one square nanometer of me...except for the pecs...oh and the six-pack...and I suppose my bum could do with a lift...and an extra inch or three on the wedding tackle would not hurt... and I could well do without the freckles and as for the laughter lines, Jeez, nothing is that funny!

WillowTheWhisp 04-12-2005 00:05

Re: Would you have plastic surgery?

I wouldn't mind having my upper eyelids done because the crease there gets uncomfortable in hot weather and eyeshadow quickly looks a mess. I'd also like to have at least one of my chins removed but apart from that I wouldn't have anything else done except a complete body transplant.
