Homesick!!
 

I'm wondering if it's just that Christmas is coming up or I'm hankering to go home. I have this sudden urge to go Xmas shopping and listen to the Carol singers, see the Xmas lights and it needs to be done in Accy!

I've also been really wanting a nice chocolate eclair and a custard tart. Marks and Sparks, Woollies, W H Smith, a trip to the cinema and Kentucky Fried after! Could be your fault Rindy, mentioning that Dame Dench film x

I know you will all think I've lost the plot, living here in Tenerife but there really is no place like home!

What do the other ex-pats reckon?

June, this is the first winter in about fifteen years were I haven't warmed my old bones under the sun at this time of year.

It's freezing, and slippy here, and the novelty of the first snowfall as soon wore off.

I will give you two options, either hire a copy of a Chistmas Carol, or arrange a house swap with me sharpish.

I'll even leave the money for a family bucket of KFC under the bowl on the sideboard.:)

Best I get the Christmas Carol, no way I can get to England at the moment. Thanks so much Rindy, was a wonderful offer and I will probably dream about it tonight! You maybe could have turned the tables with the chance of a chocolate eclair though xx

I agree. Im going to be in Japan over Christmas to try and get some Crimbo atmosphere. But reading this thread makes me think of home. Thats until I think of all the pound shops tinselled up. No more Wardleworths etc. Ideally I would come back just for a day, then back here for the sun.

I did offer to swap places with you last week Junetta, I know it would be a sacrifice to make but it's one I'd be willing to make .... just about!

I'll also leave you a nice treat of 2 chocolate eclairs and a devon split in the fridge, if you leave the sun lounger near the pool for me and a 6 pack of San Miguel in the fridge ;)

I'll get my luggage packed :D
