A Cause for Concern!

It has occured to me this last few days that this web site is causing a distraction in my attentions to the detrement of my work!

I have decided that this is a symtom of an addiction!

Instead of working I pay a visit here, and have been doing ever since a friend of mine suggested I pay this site a little visit.

I have tried not to spend so much time here but then I began to suffer withdrawl symtoms, such as a fever and the shakes! Not a particularly good sign.

So I ask the members of this good site if they themselves or at the least know of others who also suffer from these symtoms?

If they do then perhaps we should try to discover some kind of cure, a sort of on line version of the nicotene patch!

Wish I could help but unfortunately I seem to suffer from the same condition at the moment (maybe there's gonna be an epidemic!)

It is bad. It's what I switch on when I put the kettle on in the morning, to see if I've missed anything.

I don't know how people manage to hold down full time jobs, care for families, have a life etc., and still use Accy Web.

My sentiments exactly. I have a sneaky suspicion that this site has the potential to get me into a lot of trouble before I m finished!

It was not being introduced to pc's or the internet that did it for me, it was specifically this site. It has a lot to answer for.

However, I know the person resposible for introducing it to me and believe me I hold that person entirely responsible!

That person knows who they are!!!!!:D

I keep trying to wean myself off it but I don't seem able to. Even when I was on my self imposed exile a few months ago I still looked in most days to see what was going on.

lol! We weren't meant to use anything like accyweb at college last year, for the same reason it being classed as a chatroom but I found away round it in my ECDL course whilst tampering with the PC, that was until until I got a PM off a member that caught me off guard as to it's content and made me laugh so hard I spilt coffee all over the keyboard! I thought better of coming on accyweb whilst in college again! :o

Re: A Cause for Concern!

Still being on dial up I dont get to come on till around 9ish.
Probably a good job because once i'm on I dont want to come off.
When Mick goes to bed he tells me not to be all night.
I end up being thrown off by ntl.

Re: A Cause for Concern!

I've really had to get strict with myself or I could spend all day here and never get anything done! There is soooooo much to do in the house that I have just had to go cold turkey at times and say to myself "just check your emails and NOTHING else". Sometimes I can manage it, but as you see, not every day!

Oh and well done Mick for giving up smoking. :)

Bad-Wolf 01-12-2005 08:26

Re: A Cause for Concern!

I still can not manage it. It is pathetic really!
