Pity the Observer dosnt expand its website to cover more. I cant get an Accy Observer here and it is getting irksome.

Well, the company basically uses the same website layout for all its local newspapers and links it nicely in to the Manchester Online site.

We've only go one guy working on the web side of things at local level and he's doing a brilliant job.

I liked the aerial views of Accy, togeather with the one of Ossy. But what about aerial views of Church? Clayton? Rishton? Will these piccys be in this weeks Observer?

Re: In this Friday's Accrington Observer (2 December)

....And another thing. On Page three of the paper, one eminent paragraph reported the destruction of a grill pan and contents as a result of a fire in Church. This is sloppy journalism - next time describe the contents.

The views were OK but the captions weren't. One described St. John's church as St. Anne's.

Next time you are taking pictures of Ossy please warn me first so I can make sure the back yard is tidy.

To be the best of my knowledge, we're printing all aerial views of the borough in turn.

Actually, some of the fire reports are quite entertaining. The written log will say something like 'Kitchen damage - 50 per cent smoke, chip pan damage - 100 per cent fire'

It's only a pan, mate...
