Child's play
The Big Lottery is launching a new funding stream in March (stop me when you're bored with all this stuff, lol).
Anyway, it's all about Children's Play areas and funding bids are only allowed from Local Authorities http://www.biglottery.org.uk/program...drens_play.htm To be able to apply in March, Hyndburn needs to have a child's play strategy in place. Wonder if we have????????? |

Re: Child's play
Would the idea or proposal have to be submited to HBC to get the grant then?

Re: Child's play
why dont you people see if you can get something organized ,as something like this can make a hell of a difference for the little ones ...we got a wonderful play park for the kids in our estate but i know it took years to get the funding ,because when i was a kid people were always talking about it!!!im 35 now the play parks been there 3 years work that out for a fast solution ! if you want i will try and see how they went about it??

No, HBC would have to write a strategy and apply for the grant themselves. It's a bit different from usual funding streams where Councils are actually unable to put in bids, this one has to come from the Council. It's lottery funding. |
