In 2001, shortly after I came to live in Tenerife, I noticed a school friend of mine was registered with FriendsReunited. I can't remember seeing her after we left St. Andrew's Primary School.........I went on to Rhyddings but she didn't!

Anyway, I emailed but never received a reply.........until about a month ago. It turns out that she is coming over to Tenerife for a holiday, along with her husband and parents and we are about to meet after all those years!

Our parents were the best of friends during their teens and the last time I saw hers was at the funeral of my father. Must admit that I can't remember much of that because our Uncle Jim took charge and we all got rather drunk! Way to go!!

I'm rather excited about it but a little worried too.......will we know each other?

I had to tell you that we met up today. I was so nervous this morning but we gave each other such a big hug and it was like nothing had ever changed.

I don't think we stopped talking in three hours!! Time is such a strange thing!

Anyway, they are off home next week but we have arranged to meet again before they go............more to follow!
