Chav scum hoodies in Ozzy
 

Last night two hooded youths decided it would be fun to try and rip off my wing mirrors whilst I was visiting my parents near High Street in Oswaldtwistle. A witness saw them wearing light coloured hooded tops and running away from the scene down Yew Tree Drive.

The drivers side mirror was hanging by the electric wires.

What fun is to be gained from such destructive behaviour? I am now going to have to pay for this out of my own pocket. It's pointless going through the insurance as the excess to be paid and then the remaining cost would not make it worth my while losing the no claims bonus.

We have a fair idea who the culprits could be and when I find out for sure their father will not be happy to be presented with the bill.

I just hope when they're old enough to own a nice car (that's if they are able to get decent jobs to be able to afford one) that someone does the same to them, then they will appreciate the real consequence of their actions.

we get that all the time around my area and the police couldnt give a crap

i picked up my neighbours mirror with the culprits finger print on and even took them to the house i saw the culprits run into and STILL the police did nothing infact they didnt even return my neighbours wing mirror

my brothers car which was only 2 weeks old and cost around £14,000 was scratched with keys all the way down one side and so was a few of his neighbours cars

surfice to say i keep a very close eye on my vehicle and have a contingency plan for any dirtbag that touches my car that DOSNT require the police ;)

i feel sorry for you about your car DLR but its most likely their parents are just as much a set of scumbags as their kids and all you will get is a gob full of abuse

I can do better than run them over. I have many friends who are bodybuilders and hate this sort of stuff with a passion. If you hear of anyone having a heavy barbell drop on their neck, you know who it it ;)

Every night this week my husband has tucked his wing mirrors in to the side of his car and every morning this week he has gone out to his car and someone has pushed them out - why, why would someone do that?

We need to get rid of thugs, Thornton in Clevleys put an order that all under 18's were to be indoors by 9pm.

I think this was the case, check and correct me if i am worng, Hyndburn needs to do the same, any one under 18 off the streets by 9pm caught out after that time on more than 3 occations then trouble with a cap T will come thier way.

This order need laying down until youths in Hyndburn get this American teen, bloody rapper, MC'er attitude from thier STUPID THICK minds

I agree with the curfew, our kids have to be in by 9:00 and they are. What annoys me about these kids is the fact that what they do is mindless, and not in the least cerebral.
When we were lads some of the things we did was stuff we would have been punished severely for....but it did take brains (such as finding different ways to create explosions :)) But it at least it could be wildly counted as creative.

Today's youth don't it does just tend to be mindless destruction. Well either that or sitting in the park drinking alcypops. Also an imposed curfew would mean that there wouldn't be an excuse for truancy.

So your saying all the behaved under 18s should be punished for what the thugs are doing? hmmm

i can understand that people will be very annoyed by these freaks that think its a good idea to wreck other peoples property and other people get punished?

many adults think that just because some teens cant behave civil they think all teens are yobs :(

anyway hope these problems get sorted out soon

if things are so bad in an area then i would agree with a curfew it wouldnt do any harm for some parents to actualy spend tiem with their children they may actualy develop some parenting skills

saying that if there was regular police patrols on FOOT that would help a lot yet all these extra policemen prommised at elections by all partys never appear

No sorry I meant to change the age in marcinaccy's statement to 16. Yes there are a lot of teens that are well behaved and these tend to be in by 9pm anyway (specially if there is school the following day).

The reason why I agree with 9:00pm is that it is the arbitarilly chosen time for adults (TV watershed, kids out of pubs that serve food etc).

I also agree with you over the police but... until then I feel a curfew is the only real answer.

over the years ive had 3 cars literally smashed to pieces (the latter one got all the windows broke and live fireworks were thrown into the car, presumebly
to torch it) on discovery i rang the police..which is a futile excercise for sure
the little illigitimates even congregated at the top of the street and the police
could do nothing... i blame all this on lack of discipline in the home...
(plus over 4 years my premiums went up 400% even with 5 yrs no claims
pricing me out of the rat race...now just a humble padestrian!)

even in the 30,s when there was a real time of poverty children were well
behaved ...so to blame poverty for acts of vandalism and theft is a downright lie...lack of discipline and morals has brought these problems to everyones front doors...so what are we going to do about it? i dont condone vigilanteism(?) but what else is there? bad children come from bad parents
no excuses whatsoever..100% proven (look at the child then look at its
mum and dad,if its got one .... society has caused this to happen ...
no self discipline ... even the monarchy is disgustingly corrupt (queen knights queen) ...some things are inevitable...like ww3 ... its just a case of "when"...
The government and mrs windsor have overstepped the mark...
and we (society) are going to pay dearly ...with the lives of our brethren...

The parents attitude and the ganging culture is helping increase the problem that and the fact the law is an arther. Slap the parents with something along with the kids and eventually they will be that fed up they will quit it.
