"PaintbyNumbers" Fire Engines
If you fancy Fire engines to be pink or mauve, now is the time to contact John Prescott!
He is launching a thorough investigation costing in the region of £100,000 to find out if a colour other than red should be used on fire appliances and also whether they should continue the "wah-wee" or change it to "wee-wah." It is likely that researchers will travel abroad to see what colour other countries paint theirs - If you want a volunteer John ;) |
Re: "PaintbyNumbers" Fire Engines
Another way to waste our hard earned cash. Whats wrong with them the way they are? They will be telling us next they are changing the colour of London buses!!!!!

I spent years jumping on and off the 9,14,19,22 between Knightsbridge and Piccadilly. They helped traffic flow because people boarded them and paid the conductor when seated, unlike the new pay-as-you-enter ones, which take forever to board when you have twenty Japs trying to ask for Harrods. Mind you they were very dangerous. People were always being knocked over, or falling off them, by jumping off before the buses stopped. |
Re: "PaintbyNumbers" Fire Engines
He needn't bother sending anyone to Tenerife as they are the same colour here! All the firefighters are volunteers though and it all runs on charity payments. A nice bunch of lads and we never fail to put a euro or three in their box.
