Anyone ever been to Croatia?
 

We're thinking of going later this year - anyone got any opinions about where's the best resort etc?

Have you been recently - since it was Croatia - because I went about 20 years ago when it was still Yugoslavia. Any hotels you'd recommend, bear in mind we have two small children.

Julie and I went to Tucepi about 18 months ago(may 2004). We liked it so much we are going back this September. It is a really nice country with people who genuinely want you there (unlike our experiences of Greece etc). It is very clean and tidy, cheap for food/drink with beautiful scenery. I would recommend it to anyone.

It is a little strange walking down the main street to see a derelict hotel that hasn't been restored since the war but it is weirdly different as well in a nice way. It sort of makes you realise what these people have been through.

Hotel prices seem quite steep but otherwise is a reasonable site.
