as to what i think of this and the policically correct brigade- i will keep my own council for fear of getting banned and upsetting people with my language. but i would add NOWT surprises me.:mad:

The ironic thing is that while government policy is perpetuating this sort of madness, Education Secretary Ruth Kelly approved a registered sex offender for a teaching job because she considered the risks "acceptable". The lunatics have well and truly taken over the asylum...

Maybe the govenment needs commited to an asylum. If they carry on like this we will end up having to walk in a way that is politicaly correct. To think these people are paid to meddle in our lives and we have no say in it. Govenmentand govenment bodies dont always know best.

It is a ludicrous situation where children are in care for want of a family, just because some cack-brained idiot, probably with little or no training, feels that they should be "racially matched".

What it comes down to all too often is that the people who want to become social workers are inadequates who simply want the power to interfere in other peoples lives, and thus they are the very last people who should be allowed into social work. They don't have to have degrees, they have "on the job" training. Thus we get the Victoria Climbies of this world. I know there are dedicated, well-trained, social workers out there, but they are all too few, and for many the ideology comes first.

At the end of the day a child needs a loving family regardless of creed colour or religion. The kids come first not all this political correctness crud thats about. These people want tolerence within all sections of society but when an oppertunity arises to help they shoot it down without a thought because of the rules. Burn the rules and go with what a child wants and needs not what a bunch of faceless desk jokeys say.
