Human Rights

In todays world we read often of various groups of people, ciminals such as muggers, housebreaker, rapists; I could go on to mention many more.

Surely if people do these deeds not giving a damn to their infringement of other peoples human rights why should we be expected to respect theirs?

After what I read in a paper today over a guy who was put on probation for cupable homicide even though he thought it funny I think they should get non. On appeal he was given 4 years for killing this lady and beating up her husband. They should give up their human rights when charged under certain circumstances esspecially if they take a life.

Re: Human Rights

The whole idea of Human Rights was to help and protect those who faced regimes and governments around the world who denied their own people and others the basic rights and freedoms we took for granted.

It was a righteous and noble Idea until the whole thing was corrupted by giving Human Rights to all kind of thugs, petty criminals and murderers in our own communities by those who believe they could change the world, well they have and what a bloody mess they’ve for our children to sort out.

Like the IRA.

In most peoples eyes terrorists. In their own eyes freedom fighters, trying to rid their country of a foriegn occupier, and fighting for their perceived human rights, a bit like the Palestinians.

Not a supporter of the IRA, just making a comparison that human rights are open to question.

I totally agree with you...if this country was taken over I would be one of them.

oh dear !! dont anyone be under the illusion that the ira or for that matter the uvf are freedom fighters .i for one have witnessed the so called freedom that both these terrorist organisations have carried out ,and its murder plain and simple .terrorists are terrorists be they from ireland north or south or afghanistan ,and once they go down the path of terrorism they should forego any human rights!! for they have no respect for their victims human rights ...lets take this one step further could we see the bombers of london last year as freedom fighters ??
