Sorry..left caps lock on, but yes i was shouting !

Just goes to show what a mess the country is in when its own citizens cant get vital drugs and treatment due to "lack of funds" which are conveniently available when a political issue and govenment mess are being forced into the headlines. :o

Jimmi shout as much as you like. :)

Lack of funds - what a laugh. When I worked at a London Hospital, we had one patient who had come on a student visa, who had a blood disease which only affects people of his racial origin. We got clearance from the DoH to treat him - at a cost of £45,000 a week!!! Yes, I haven't got the noughts wrong, it was £45,000 a week. This guy had never paid anything in, and had a month's treatment free.

I also for a brief and unhappy period worked in Immigration Law. Sitting in on one meeting, the couple seeking asylum had to have a French translator. She was urging them to beef up what they were saying, and telling them that it wasn't strong enough. She was, quite literally, telling them what to say. You can imagine her face when I said, "Et moi aussi, je parle Francais"!

The international law on asylum is quite clear. If you are a geniune asylum seeker, you MUST seek asylum in the first friendly nation whose border you cross. If you do not do so, you have forfeited the right to asylum. So what price all of those who travel across Germany, France and Belgium, to reach the UK? In law, we don't HAVE to consider them for asylum at all.

The word asylum is an appropriate one. That is what this county is becoming, and the loonies have the keys.

am i wrong in thinking they shuld be sent back with what the came with and if that happens to be sweet FA then so be it

a lot of asylum seekers come here claiming that they face death by some cruel regime or something so if this story is to be believed they dont need the money as they will be dead upon arrival back into their country so it is most likely this alleged evil regime will be £3000 better off for every returned failed asylum seeker they kill

considering how many people fail the asylum process i can only imagin how much money this is going to cost

how about putting the money into stopping them getting here in the first place instead of giving them amounts of money most hard working people cant even save after paying taxes to support these bums

edit:

asylum seeker - can i live in the uk please

uk - no you cant but heres £3000 to see you on your way

asylum seeker - thanx uk this will buy some guns and explosives my brothers further down the line can he have £3000 as well

i have no doubt this system will be abused by peopel wanting to make a quick 3 grand

Agreed. 100%
