You should have those anyway. Did you not receive a copy of the Constitution and Code of Practice? They are not secret and anyone can have a copy. (I might twist their arm to become a Friend first though :) ) As for missing another meeting, how are we supposed to pick your fund raising brain if you don't turn up?

As you know, Neil, according to the constitution I am barred from becoming a member of the group so no, I have not received a copy previously.

Read it again Gayle. You are and can be a Friend. The bit about Councillors and Candidates is only relative to the Committee.
I was informed that the letter for the first meeting called after the committee was set up included the Constitution and Code Of Practice. I have a million copies here and was going to send them out with the last letter but was informed they had all ready been sent out. I will have to check up on it. It's not the only confusing aspect with HBC calling the first couple of meetings but I thought we had ironed all the wrinkles out.

Well unless I receive a letter soon about the meeting (bear in mind my parents received their's on Tuesday) I will begin to feel as though I am being left out or over looked. I have not yet received one letter regarding Friends of Rhyddings Park despite attending a meeting and signing up on a list and also signing up during the event. Having said, that it is a moot point anyway because I can't attend the next meeting like I said.

The way I understood it was that I could be a Friend, i.e. could come to meetings but not vote and could participate in events etc, but that I could not be a member of the committee (that's what I meant in my previous post by saying member). I assumed that I was not getting notifications because of the 'candidate' issue.

My boys posted your parents on Tuesday on our way back from school and yours should arrive in the post soon. Your in the database so your letter was printed and put in an envelope by my own fair hand. (We have not sorted out emailing info yet but should have by next meeting)

Not at all. As far as I can see, there is no issue.
