knackered already
yesterday while shopping the rain came down and broadway was again a mass of puddles
now i know i shouldnt laugh but my 2 year old learnt the hard way not to run on dodgy workmanship and went belly down into a puddle of water after loosing his footing in the ditch filled with water should i put a claim in against HBC for the £1.00 spent in poundland on kitchen roll to dry him off ..? |
Re: knackered already
You pushed him didn't you.............:rolleyes::D
|
Re: knackered already
if you define push as by a size 9 boot into his back then yes i did :D
boy i can see that getting printed off and produced at my next court date for acess to him lol |
Re: knackered already
Get him a set of water skis and sue the council for what you can but considering the financial mess they have the proberly couldnt pay and have lapsed on the insurance premium.
|
Re: knackered already
well we DO live in a claims are us society...
|
Re: knackered already
Just wait until a puddle there freezes over and we get people slipping on it and breaking legs. There'll be some claims going in then.
|
Re: knackered already
Then it will be some poor pensioner that slips.

Is it HBC's fault or the contractor who did not lay the surface correctly I wonder. We have a similar problem with some block paving in Oswaldtwistle near the main door of the Co-Op. It is sinking causing the path to look more like a sand dune. Why? Because the armoured Securicor type truck that fills up the cash machine parks on it. |
Re: knackered already
Falkirk High Street has the same problem with the way it was built then add the section they left as cobbles and even wet the cobbles are slippy no need for ice. The council will not replace the cobbles as it is part of the "caracter" of the area around the steeple. :(

Re: knackered already
I know what it is! Hyndborg BC have been reading the AccyWeb thread where the gravel was described as resembling a sandy shore so they've decided to incorporate a small sea for us.

Re: knackered already
Perhaps they'll come out of the Town Hall in the summer and give us donkey rides.

I couldn't possibly comment. I do however have a fetching straw hat with a 'P' on the front. Kiss me quick, ride me slowly. |
