I'm leaving
 

After a three-month spell at the Accrington Observer, I am leaving to take a job on a newspaper in Hull.

From the day I was told I had this job, I have been in regular contact with all the good people at Accy web and you have all made me feel welcome.

You have also given me some decent stories, which I am eternally grateful for - a reporter is nothing without his readers being his eyes and ears in the community.

Thanks in particular to Huncoat and Baxenden residents who have helped keep up the flow of district news.

My final day here is Monday 6 February, so you're not getting rid of me just yet.

I thought you might like to know that the company won't be replacing me immediately, so there will be no devoted Huncoat and Baxenden reporter straight away, so please bear with the other reporters who will be covering it.
