Brat Camp

Having just watched the latest Brat Camp series first episode,I'm hooked.Though not usually a fly on the wall fan I find the programme strangely compelling.
The basic idea is of taking seven self destructing mid teens off into the Aspen wilderness to learn life skills and hopefully improve both their self respect and respect for others. This time around it's an all girl group and they are just as foul mouthed as their male counterparts.
Three thousand girls were 'volunteered' by their parents with the lucky seven being whisked off.
I find it fascinating that the Camp tutors don't react to the foul mouthed abuse and find ways to influence the girls'way of thinking.
Being TV the series will probably end in the group being redeemed and civilised. The fact that of the girls came from decent homes belies the oft quoted cliche ,'Oh he/she came from a broken home.....'
All my sympathy is with the parents who still love their offspring.
Is there a British organisation that does Brat Camps?
If not can we start one,the Outer Hebrides would make a good site, crewed by ex R.S.M's and Police officers it would also make compelling viewing.:not_ripe:

Set a British version up in either the Falklands or South Georgia. Can we also have one for mother in laws that are just as bad?

I would ask the extremists if they wanted to do it. One lot would come back cured. :)

Mines vocation in life is to interfere as much as possible. I am not saying there are no good mother in laws out there that there are a few bad ones. These seem to be back in teenage mode.

I must say that we both enjoyed the Brat Camp and that the Brat Camp Unseen on E4 (which starts as the main prog finishes) has given an insight into the girls and the problems that they have raised at home.

The girls will also be able to use the "Brat-Cam" (bit like diary room but no walls or seat HEHE) to comment on how they feel etc.

Lets just hope that they do change for the better but as I'm always saying "Time will tell"

As I said earlier Ber,this being TV there has to be a happy outcome for most if not all of the girls otherwise the series would be pointless.
It will be interesting to see the kids as the reality of isolation dawns on them;no mobile phones here girls!:p

When that hits home they will be crying for their mummy. Girls cannot live without a mobile phone.
