Triple Burgers

Just watching the adverts and saw a Burger King add for Triple Burgers. Instead of making me feel hungry it made me quite angry. No one need three burgers on a bun - it's tantamount to poisoning yourself.

Before you start, I love a good burger, just think that putting three on a bun is over doing it!

Madhatter 09-02-2006 19:54

Re: Triple Burgers

hows that work then, how do you get it in your mouth, and is it just three burgers or is there bun inbetween.

Re: Triple Burgers

Re: Triple Burgers

Doing a 12 hour shift some day at work i dont have time to cook proper food the easiest option for me is to run into macdonalds and get 3 double cheese burgers, 3! people may think of me as lazy and cant be bothered to make my own lunch at home. In my job i dont finish till 5 sometimes 6 in the morn im not in a mood to make my lunch especially when im back in at 10 to traipse all over blackburn. I find it very hard and thank god for a quick service at mcdanalds. I cant stand macdonalds and dont like giving my money to them but being in a rush i have no other option. My bofriend usually buys 2 big macs. The fast food companies usually advertise the burgers on tv as though they are the perfect burger, the burger looks so tender and meaty, the salad looks crisp and colourful, the bun looks cooked to perfection it makes you want to eat it there and then. yet when you actually go and buy the food it looks nothing compared to what is being advertised on tv. When your eating your burger the salad is limp, the burgers are either too small or overcooked. One burger does not fill you up.

Re: Triple Burgers

Not a fan of burgers unless home made and like BB there are times when making my butties for work is not an option especially on long shifts. So its either a TV meal chippy or chicken from the supermarket as a warm meal is what is needed on a 12 hour shift.

Gayle your dieting's turning you into the food police.;)

It's only like a big greasy club sandwich.

I'll have one, and supersize the fries please.:)

I know, but don't you think it's just a teensy weensy bit excessive - three? Anyway, you'll be relieved to know that I'm not getting much support on this one at home either - I mentioned it to Chris in horror and his response was "when are we going out for one?" Strikes me that if I can't beat it I might as well join it - let's watch those cholestoral levels soar!

garinda 10-02-2006 09:27

Re: Triple Burgers

They have probably made the burgers thinner, so the three will only give you a fraction more meat.;)

Gayle 10-02-2006 09:44

Re: Triple Burgers

Probably, but also doubled the price. lol

Re: Triple Burgers

If any of the meat in those burgers has ever seen a farmyard, I'll eat hay with a donkey.....:D Not a fan of fast food, I also work long shifts and always find the time to prepare my own food and take it with me.

Re: Triple Burgers

I wouldn't eat a single 1 never mind a triple! I'm not on a diet I don't make a point of watching what I eat, fat/cholesterol wise. I just don't like eating something that tastes like what I imagine carpet to taste like.

Gayle, your only jealous! I can eat junk food, ordinary food, or absolutely saturated food that should put me over-weight what happens I still end up the size I am. Even not eating at all makes no difference, they say you are what you eat, I agree eat cabbage you smell of rotting veg', eat meat you smell of dead cow, what the heck, eat what you enjoy, you might just live as long or die two weeks earlier, but enjoy the life you get!

Re: Triple Burgers

i was talking to a customer one day !he looked a bit off colour,so i asked whats the matter?he replied he had come from a job that prepares burgers for a well named outlet of fast food,he said that there was a stainless steel wall with a track running across it and hung on this track was the carcasses of animals that where blasted with airguns to get every little piece of sinew off the bone, then a big like window wiper wiped the wall from one end to the other and all the........sh...e was dropped into a bin, this was then mixed in with the other meat and made into burgers!
so when you are peckish you might as well as eat three cause there isnt enough meat in to make one

Have to agree Gayle there really is no need, tho if you put 3 Maccy D's wafer burgers together you might get a decent sized one..........but it also helps if they tase nice too.which imho they do not!

I love a mc donalds, bk or kfc burger, i drive a lot and on the road its about the quickest most convenient most sensible priced that available. At the moment i'm getting two big macs for 188-210 dunno why the price difference, on 6 nuggets for 99 or two cheese burgers for 99. I also like the baguettes though, and in summer i love the chicken ranch salad.

Re: Triple Burgers

they are big compared to a cheese burger, so they do live up to the name. They're very sickly though, taste nice now and again but too often and they taste yuck, which is why i try to go through the other stuff on the menu esp the baguettes, i like all of those.

You didn't say that last night when you were tuckin' into your KFC, deep fried in a pressure cooker full of lard :p or and chips boiled in fat as well.

That would put a lot of people off fast food. Wonder what they do to the mac chicken and chicken premier meals?

Re: Triple Burgers

Filmmaker Morgan Spurlock hit the road and interviewed experts in 20 U.S. cities, including Houston, the "Fattest City" in America. From Surgeon Generals to gym teachers, cooks to kids, lawmakers to legislators, these authorities shared their research, opinions and "gut feelings" on our ever-expanding girth.
During the journey, Spurlock also put his own body on the line, living on nothing but McDonald's for an entire month with three simple rules:
1) No options: he could only eat what was available over the counter (water included!)
2) No supersizing unless offered
3) No excuses: he had to eat every item on the menu at least once
http://www.supersizeme.com/home.aspx?page=aboutmovie

You may never eat a burger again.

Re: Triple Burgers

yes but no sane person lives on nothing but fast food do they, so the guy who did is mantal in my opinion and desserved to die of a heart attack. I have absolutely no respect for him at all.
