Its Started Allready...
Went to the Doctors this morning. Not seen him for a while cause my medication is on repeat and i just ring through for it every month. This way, to me i am not taking up a valuable space that somebody else could use.
First question i was asked even before i managed to sit down was : "Do you work or are you on the sick" Wonder if it is true that doctors will be paid for sending people back to work. |
Re: Its Started Allready...
maybe if you say you work you are given a better examination. If on the sick he just writes out the sick line and sends people away.

Re: Its Started Allready...
A small fee to doctors who send people back to work would not surprise me. They already receive extra money for providing contraceptive services and for maternity services (although they have recently lost or are in the process of losing that fee because the midwives actually provide the service and the GP does ****** all). A fee for getting people off the sick would be feasable.:)

Under the new General Medical Service (nGMS) contract they can also opt out of, or in to things as they choose which, personally I think is a load of twaddle. The same services should be available at whichever NHS GP surgery you attend.

Re: Its Started Allready...
I went to see the nurse this week who refered me back to the doctor who has refered me back to the nurse. I think they love seeing me running up and down the stairs at his practise.

Re: Its Started Allready...
Have you not realised yet, making you run up and down stairs is 1 way of checking how fit you are and see if you could go back to work hehe
