Thanks Bur999T i was wondering what all the white stuff was.
its 7-30am and still snowing,
i let the cat out she is only a little thing i opened the back door and she rushed out like she allways has stood there took 1 look round shook her paws and rushed back and sat in front of the fire so i think thats where your going to find both of us today.

Well it must be cold out coz I live and work in London (don't ask me why) and it actually started snowing outside about an hour ago.

Not real snow mind, just bitty snow with the odd few proper flakes that doesn't stick but just makes everywhere a bit wet.

However, this is a rare sight down here and tends to send Londoners into a bit of a panic (when we DO get proper snow, the city and transport system shuts down because they're not used to it). I heard one of my co-workers say "oh no, It'll take me two hours to get home tonight".

Here in sub-tropical Lymm I woke up at 6 a.m. to find a blizzard outside. I got in my car at 7.15 and there was 2" of snow on it and still blizzarding. When I got to Warrington, less than 7 miles away, there wasn't a bit of it to be seen and mine was the only car in the car park with snow on the roof.

My granddaughter is 6 and she has never sledged or built a snowman. My grandson is 20 and he has only sledged 3 times - when he was a little boy.

Drat i missed the snow, just got back yesterday from a week in Tenerife. But have read on teletext that we are meant to get a lot of snow next week. Seeing is believing though.

I also heard that the MET Office is predicting yet another cold snap with snow on it's way ....... I'm sure they do it just to tease poor Simon ;) lol!

I have noticed they've had a little snow in the North Yorkshire Dales , well on Ingleborough anyway ... I can see it on a clear day from my living room window :)

Dougie your the man with the 'know' is Ingleborough near Ingleton, classed as a mountain or just a large hill? Also am I correct in thinking it's were the Dales meet the Lakes?

No your wrong (again) my beautiful little fairy :) (please note I’ve never clapped eyes on her) :D :D :D Ingleborough is my favourite Yorkshire Mountain which stands at 2,373 ft. I’ve walked up it three times, twice last year and its no where near the lakes.

There use to be an Iron Age fort on the top of it. It's very cold up there and gets very windy, but if you get the chance please go up and enjoy. :) :) :)

Behave, mountains never grow old, that why I spend so much time up them. Tinks if you like to walk get the old man in the car and go over. But think on it's an 9 mile round trip from Horton in Ribblesdale and about 4 from the Road above Ingleton.....:)

Get yourself over to Horton in Ribblesdale and get up Pen-y-gent. Fantastic and windy. Pen-y-gent is celtic and means something like windy hill or place. worth the effort.

If no one hears from me today I hit a tree and will be off to Stirling Royal Infirmary Casualty unit, and for sledging it will be worth it. This will occur with luck the sledging that is at 15:30. :engsmil:

I've just been out in the snow over the back roads of Tockholes in a 4x4 Range Rover ..... OMG!!! It was ace!! Went through a stream and nearly slid over the banking into the stream at the other side ..... talk about an adrenalin rush ;) and a change of undies needed!! :D

i played in the back garden with the kids and then i came in an then i had to go back out and deal with some irate woman because my 4 year old threw a snow ball and it hit her in the face i could hear her shout at him and i was inside!!!

Poor lad did she scream at him! he's a 4 year old with very little sence of direction and probably could'nt get her in the face again if he was at point blank range!! (just no fun in some people!)

Didn't do anything, but did get an extra couple of hours of work because of snow, so just cleaned up. Well had to really, cause i couldn't go shopping lol. Anyway have heard the snow is meant to be coming back Saturday or Sunday. Shall have to wait and see.
