The record used to be sometime in December 2004.

There are still 68 guests reading General Chat at 1.10am!

There's usually a few guests on now, about twenty odd, but tonight it's gone mental!

Believe me this is all true. The server is mega stressed out at the mo and has been running at >200% load for the whole day. Basically the whole url system has been changed and the robots think we are a totally new site and are 'exploring'. The main culprit is not even a major search engine and after todays performance I am seriously thinking about banning them completely! I've got my fingers crossed that the server holds out as there really are loads of requests coming through!

Well I'm looking at the logs right now and we seriously are being swamped, and not just by search engines. I wonder if some american tv company has done an accy stanley feature or something? It would be intersesting to know if the official asfc site is also being swamped....

Well I've had to reconfigure the web server as it was mega stressed and on a go slow due to the traffic, load is now halved but pictures may well take longer to load... Time for bed right now, I hope these lot all relax a bit.

At one point last night the pages were really slow at loading....I thought it might have been my machine and did a virus check.......came back later to find that there were 895 people viewing Accyweb.....I think something like 60ish were registered users and the rest were guests......there were 11 pages of people checking us out.
