Past my 'sell by' date ?
 

I have just been browsing another thread......and lovely Mick has posted some pics of firemen.......some of the accyweb ladies have gone into raptures about them.....but they don't do it for me. Does this mean I am definitely past my 'sell by' date?

Have you reached that time of your life yet....? And what was it that confirmed this......? Come on folks be honest here!

No diferent people have diferent tastes thats all. Blonds do nothing for me so does that make me past it or as has been said by friends "a saddo for not being into blondes." This has nothing to do with the image of being dumb as I know some very smart blondes.

My younger daughter has a "thing" about firemen. She took her Brownie pack to the local fire station last year and was bitterly disappointed that there were only 2 men on duty. :D

Me, I still go for RAF uniform (my husband was in the RAF when we got married). There's still something about Airforce Blue that reaches the parts other uniforms cannot reach. ;)

RAF uniforms are good, but my absolute favourite is men in mess kit - those brightly coloured little bumfreezer jackets ring my bell every time!

I once asked my great aunt (then aged about 80) at what age women lost interest in sex. Her answer - "I don't know, darling, you'd have to ask someone older than me"!

Mands - carry on with the calendars in the Ladies - it makes going a pleasure!

Oh......I haven't lost interest in anything........I just don't get any kicks out of seeing men in uniform....or out of it for that matter(if you know what i mean). Maybe the job I did jaded my visual palate for uniforms. (Nurse).

However, I do like a nice smile......a man that makes me laugh......and blue eyes combined with dark hair......oh yeah and a hairy chest (but not a hairy back - Yeeeeeuk).

oooooooh YES Spuggie !!!!!!! I like that. Refined taste........my daughter tells me that my taste is very juvenile......I like something light, sweet and sparkling..... but that is just wine. Well, maybe it could apply to men too.

Oooo no, I went out with someone in the RAF and their full dress uniform was a horrible bluey washed out grey colour, with a white belt and white gloves. The only thing I liked was the dress hat!! :D

White belt is RAF Regiment (white gloves????). If it was a washed out bluey grey it was either in desparate need of dry-cleaning - or he was a fake. :D

No he was definately RAF as I visited the base many times!! This was just over 5 years ago if that helps with the time scale. As for it needing dry cleaning you are prob right cos the full dress uniform only came out once in a blue moon!!!

I prefer, dark hair, blue/green eyes, then ginger, then blondes. But as long as they're female, i'll make allowances, can't always get ideals. Nurses uniform is sexy.

Seems you are being contradictory here Margaret ... doesn't sound like you have lost interest at all.. can see the sparks eminating from your keyboard with the all the dribbling.Obviously you just prefer them without the uniform :D

No...... Katex.......I thought that maybe I WAS past my sell by date as the firemen held no attraction for me.......either in uniform or out of it.
Pictures are very much one dimensional too......as I say, someone who makes me laugh....has a nice smile......oh yeah, and smells nice too.....that might just float my boat.

No, Rindy......like I say.....those things don't make my heart rate skip......and I think most men like to fantasise about naughty Nurses (though I have never quite understood why men think nurses are any naughtier than any other women)...basques and suspender belts, and I can live with that.

For me it has to be something on a more personal level.

In the words of the song 'I need a hero' ..... I think it's that with me Margaret, I'm not fanatical about uniformed men. I've got to say policemen don't do alot for me, neither do ambulance men and traffic wardens just need a slap! It's the The services uniformed men and firemen ohhhh yes :wub8:

Though, these days with the amount of women doing these jobs, you've got to be very careful not to to swoon to much until you know, it's actually a man :o ...... long story ..... I don't want to talk about it!! :(
