EHIC (no not drunk) cards
 
Am I the only one in the U.K. that didn't know about the new EHIC card which replaces the E111 form for travellers until brother mentioned it ?

Received ours a couple of months ago. Brought them with us on hols in Feb, much better then the paper E111s. Put them away with passports. At least i won't need to go to the trouble of going to the post office to fill in E111s everytime i go away, as i always lost the paper ones.

First I knew was when my youngest went to France with the school last year. Now I have one and she has one because in order to get her one I had to apply for one but I didn't realise at the time and could have got one for my other daughter at the same time too. (I got them online)

Busman hasn't got one, but we aren't going to Europe so I don't suppose it matters.

Had mine for a few months. My car insurance also comes in the form of a card now too...:D I have a purse full of cards and not one of them will get me cash..:rolleyes:
