I wouldn't worry too much Mands while he's calling you he's leaving someone else alone. I know how hard landlords/ladies work I have been one myself. work doesn't start when the doors open but hours before & it doesn't end the minute you lock up either. I haven't managed to get to a meet yet but from what I've read you run a good pub & I hope to make one soon

As an outsider here's my opinion. I was only saying in chat last night. The stag is one of the few decent pubs left, it serves excellent lager and I'm sure the real ale will be too when I eventuallly get to try it. I've always recieved a warm welcome, you couldn't wish for better hosts, and staff, I've even been offered a hot drink, instead of coke when I popped in while working. The food on saturday was excellent, that chicken was so nice I even mentioned it when I got back to flat mate. The stag is a jewel in the crown, a real pub.

Staggers and Mands run one of the best pubs I know. Mands in particular goes out of her way to look after us - remember the walk? - it started to pour down and when we got back to the Stag, wringing wet, not only were there lovely hot sausages and buns, but towels to dry ourselves off with! Where else would you get that?

It so happens to be my local,and Margaret and I spend many happy hours a week in the company of both Mandy and Paul.The pub is warm, inviting and comfortable. The clientele are friendly and the landlord and landlady are second to none.What more can a pub want.The pratt who made the comments wants to come down and make his remarks in front of the regulars, and I'll lay odds his feet won't touch the ground.

i think the stag is a great little pub and mandy is a loverly lady it is hard to find real ale pubs in accy

Going in your pub is a pleasure.
You work hard to make the stag what it is.
You have my vote for both the pub of the year and the land lady & landlord of the year.
Thank-you both for giving us all a good time. In a good atmosphere and we have appreciate all the hard work you have put in to achieve this.
