Stars in your eyes
Yes, ok I admit I've been watching it.
But it got me thinking who would I be if I was ever on it. Dolly Parton would be close to the top of my list but I think my southern twang would be best put to use with Don't it make my brown eyes blue by Crystal Gayle - and how fitting that would be? Oh, apart from the fact that I have blue eyes - never mind, I can't sing either!:D So who would you be? |

I think i would like to be like Mama Cass, she had such a beutiful voice.and i look more like she did than Kate Moss....trouble is i sound like a strangled cat...... |
Re: Stars in your eyes
I think I would be Jim Reeves, although I don't look a bit like him, I have sung a number of his songs in Karaoke bars here and abroad and I am told I sound like him.

Re: Stars in your eyes
I'd have to be Bjork because she can't sing either :)

Re: Stars in your eyes
Tinks it would have to be a duet;
FAIRY and PIXIE Live at a club near you Easter Saturday. |
Re: Stars in your eyes
Just watching a profile on Dusty Springfield, always wished I could sing like that .. hey, seems she was gay  Never knew that, puts a whole new light on her doesn't it ? Know it shouldn't, but can't help looking at her differently somehow.

Re: Stars in your eyes
i just watched the start,, i am taping it... yes she was gay,and had a real problem with it... it was not the thing to be in the 60's..
as a singer i think she was fantastic.. |

A bit like Will Young really .. has had some lovely love songs written for him, but well all a little tongue in cheek... he isn't singing to any young voluptuous woman, is he ? Anyway, would still like to do her on Stars if only I could sing like that, but would definitely have some fella in mind... tee hee. |
Re: Stars in your eyes
I watched it too. Brilliant programme.
Ive loved her music since I was three, when my aunt used to play me her records. Diva, a wonderful voice and a tortured soul. I have been known to belt out 'Son of a Preacherman'- but sound rather more like Paul Robeson that Dusty.:( |
Re: Stars in your eyes
I have a page full of her songs on i tunes.my favourites at the moment are spookey ,and some of your loving...i am listening to her now
