Big Headlines In This Weeks Observer

A little bird told me there is going to be a massive headline in this weeks observer. I don't know what it is so i thought it might be fun to guess before the paper is out this evening. It might be nothing at all as some little birds are more reliable than others ;)
First person to guess right can have some karma as a prize :)

Oh Entwisi...you beat me to it....Although my Headline would have been 'Council Leader Throws the Towel In'...but like you also commented I think it is wishful thinking on both our parts.

Yerself...that is a thought that makes me feel very very sick indeed...and i think you should compensate Gayle with some Karma......she has far better taste in her men!

Re: Big Headlines In This Weeks Observer

Please stop spreading rumours about me. Did someone say there were some sort of libel laws about this kind of thing?

The Labour party has enough real sleaze problems to deal with at the moment without this kind of stuff. I'm sorry to sound a bit stuffy and I can take a lot of stick from some of you but a couple of you have crossed the line in this thread.

Excuse me, I defended Mrs Knight.

sowhat was the headline?

Neil 27-04-2006 17:43

Re: Big Headlines In This Weeks Observer

I have no idea, I have not picked up a copy of the paper yet. I did say that my little bird did not tell me what the headline was. I suspect my little bird may have got his/her wings crossed this time.

It was an hard task yes. I am now exhausted and can only contemplate the eagerness of the next opportunity to participate.

Re: Big Headlines In This Weeks Observer

oh dear Gayle i suppose an extra covering of tough skin would be useful when you go into the line of politics - sleaze, gossip & scandal are very much a part of it - ask your heirarchy in the labour party!

These threads were of joking speculation & surely not meant in any defamination to yourself or to your character intentionally, but as being this forum is great public info & ad campaign for your polital efforts you will also have your sceptics as well as supporters, so you've put yourself in the situ of these threads by being here - surely you have to take the rough with the smooth, but if these claims were meant then well justified in taking a stand Gayle but judging on what is read & seen nobody took it at all seriously other than yourself.

Lets hope it keeps out of the telegraph & observer

I had also heard the rumour of a hefty scandal hitting the Obby's headlines this week;it looks like it has been pulled ,maybe still gathering evidence but let's hope it's made public soon;sounds like VERY interesting reading!!

you are really mean Lindsay:)...you tell us all that and then leave us in suspenders. I call that a bit mean...you could at least give us a clue...crime politics...gossip!

Come on Margaret, it's election time so it must be politics. It will be too late the election will be almost over before the next edition wont it?

lindsay ormerod 27-04-2006 19:14

Re: Big Headlines In This Weeks Observer

That very much depends if it's big enough for the LET to take an interest;let's see what develops shall we??

Margaret Pilkington 27-04-2006 19:18

Re: Big Headlines In This Weeks Observer

Well, Neil that is just what I thought....if it were politics it would be useless inthe following weeks paper because it will all be settled...but if the LET gets wind then there is time enough...and the Observer will be kicking themselves.

SPUGGIE J 27-04-2006 19:30
